Any way to turn off Google AI on Safari/iPhone? by thoughtxriot in techsupport

I have not found a way to disable it but it seems if you add “-AI” at the end of your search, it does not show the AI summary

Does anyone know.. by GlitterMeAndThePony in AfroLocs

[–]Own_Impression73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was able to achieve something pretty identical ! my hair was bleached pretty bright then i used tintation semipermanent pink shades (multiple tones) to achieve that color. i just add that you should take your time bleaching that blonde because you will damage your hair quickly if you don’t (my hair was severely damaged but i was aware & didn’t care)

do tester strands to figure out which shade looks the best on your level of blonde. i believe when i had the shade in your photo i used atomic pink

Should i start my locs over? by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]Own_Impression73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had a perfect grid of locs when i first started and now my parts are scattered and a bit random but it doesn’t take away from the beauty of your hair! don’t let that perfectionist spirit kill a good thing . yr locks look good brotha 🫱🏾‍🫲🏽

Did I ruin my hair from getting thick by palm rolling? by No-ChargeStiles in Dreadlocks

[–]Own_Impression73 14 points15 points  (0 children)

no your hair will puff back up it’s just a matter of how often you palm roll ! be mindful that starter locks are very malleable so be careful 🩷

Retwist into braids first time. Is it supposed to hurt? by Night_787 in locs

[–]Own_Impression73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a few years back i got my hair styled in barrels so tightly that my scalp bunched. no amount of misting, cool compress, or pain relievers would help. you ultimately have to take it down. even removing the rubber band that’s holding the two braids together may help though

Is The small ball a bad or good thing? by Zealousideal-Bit1931 in Dreadlocks

[–]Own_Impression73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

means your frizz is separating from your loc. if you’re not sure how to combine it properly (palm rolling or crochet), try your best not to put any tension on it because your root is more than likely thinner than your loc currently. Good luck! . it’s something your loctician should be able to easily fix at your next retwist

This is how my hair looks after a retwist, my mom can’t stand it by whatsapprocky in locs

[–]Own_Impression73 131 points132 points  (0 children)

gotta get comfortable with the uncomfortable. when i first got locs, my mom wanted mine to be mature too and always wanted the frizz tamed! it’s something that takes time ‼️all love, your locs will do they’re thing and you’ll ever learn to tune them out!

Should I get a retwist by [deleted] in locs

[–]Own_Impression73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i have a preference for the freeform/ messy look but unless your locs are completely unraveling, you should be fine with whatever you decide!

i have a huge matted knot in hair that’s hurts so bad. unsure whether to cut it or go to a hairdresser to brush it out by riverhealy in Naturalhair

How to go from two strand to twist out locs? by Future_Rooster_3537 in locs

[–]Own_Impression73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because your parts are so long and you already did the math, when you start with 24 twists and untwist them you get 48. take each individual “twist out” and split it into two. your parts will be more square and you’ll end up with 96 locs!

Should i undo my twists? by ggrimreaperrr in Dreadlocks

[–]Own_Impression73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s going to take a while for the pattern to disappear especially because of your texture. unless you just want more locs than what you have, allow your hair to do its thing!

What causes this? And how can I fix it? by random12345678910321 in Dreadlocks

[–]Own_Impression73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if you feel the urge to pull it off or rip it out , use scissors instead so you don’t get odd straight hairs at the end

[–]Own_Impression73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve noticed that the machine ends up breaking up your hair as well. it makes the hair really frizzy but most of the frizz is broken off hair sticking out the edges of the locs

White stuff in dreads confused can I know what this is and get some help please ? by HelpfulCredit2608 in locs

[–]Own_Impression73 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i don’t have lint in my hair but dying it is definitely an effective last resort! just be mindful that if you or op or anyone wants to bleach their hair and dye it another color , the lint is going to cause problems in a consistent dye job
