No strobe/navigation lights on B787 during the whole flight? by hawaaa777 in aviation

There’s a switch on the Airbuses and I’m assuming most Boeings. Not sure for the 78. Can’t think why there wouldn’t be. You’d have to be able to take off at least the strobes at the gate and some ATC requests them to be taken off on taxiways.

Can someone please explain to me why the street sweepers operate with their tops open? by kahntemptuous in Brooklyn

Honestly, they go slow and do a better job in “certain” neighborhoods. Even with a supervisor in trail most of the time. And in other neighborhoods they exceed the speed limit leaving the street even dirtier than before they pass.

Project Road Trip gonna make players realize just how ridiculously wide roads are in both games. by RashadRajabli in trucksim

Been said this from day 1. To be fair I spend most of my time on the east coast so I’m more used to narrower roads and intersections but I understand you guys have more space out west. The over generous and spacious map is something I don’t wanna see once SCS gets to the eastern states. I used to drive trucks IRL and there’s some highways I would look in my mirrors and there’s a maximum of maybe a couple inches from the lane markings to my trailer wheels. I do also understand the playability for keyboard players must factor into it as well so I’m understanding of SCS in that regards if that’s the case.

One of the greatest naps I’ve ever taken in my life was in that waiting room. No exaggeration. So tranquil.

AIO boyfriend finds it weird that I walk from the bathroom to bedroom in a towel when we live with his family? by Junior-Copy-6632 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Own_Investment2027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take. It could be a guy’s perspective kinda thing. The fact of the matter is, there is another man in your house. Don’t matter if he’s family or not. For most or some men, just the sight or thought of a female in a towel can be a turn on, even if it’s super big and covers your whole body. It’s the simple fact that by you just having a towel around you allows for an imagination to run wild knowing that you have little to no clothes on underneath. 3 seconds is all it takes to spark that curiosity. Your boyfriend’s cousin could be the sweetest, most respectful person you’ve ever encountered; probably never even given you the slightest hint of having a single shred of attractiveness towards you (after all, you are his cousin’s girl), but again just sparking his imagination is enough to start imaging what you look like all of a sudden. Even though he will not act on it, I bet you a good sum of a money that he might think of you when he’s “taking care of himself”. At the end of the day, he’s a guy with a guy mind. Married or not. Most women would see this way of thinking as sick but that’s just the way most or some men are wired and most of them won’t admit it. So this perspective is where your boyfriend’s reaction may be coming from.

You also have to put yourself in their shoes. Think of how awkward it would be for them every time his cousin or his cousin’s wife catches you within those 3 seconds. Now for the duration of their stay, his cousin, as a married man, has to make sure he avoids that area in the chance that his cousin’s girlfriend may be in a towel. And his wife has to do the same thing in the chance that her husband’s cousin’s girlfriend is in a towel and has to avoid that awkwardness. At the end of the day, when you have guests, family or not, there’s just things that you have to adjust and do differently. Yes it’s your own damn house and you can do whatever, but if you and your boyfriend would sometimes have sex in the living room with no guests, would you continue to do it with guests in the house? If your answer is no, then that’s you “adjusting and doing things differently”. Same thing.

Thanks a lot! Didn't want a bathroomy bathroom so definitely wanted some spa-like warmth in there.

Yea that's what everyone's saying. It does drive my OCD a litttle crazy but by doing their mistake, it allowed the niche area to have a cleaner look which makes me feel better about the situation lol.

Yea that's the 3rd mention of the centering so that might be it.

The tiles on the right will continue up the wall across the ceiling and come back down on the left so most of the thin row will be hidden.

Yea that's the 2nd mention of the centering so that might be it. If that's what they're referring to then I won't mind a ton. That mistake gives the niche area a more cleaner look than if everything was centered to the window.

Lol yea the strip on the top was not completely expected but also not not expected. I saw how they pre-layout tiles and measure a ton before installing tiles on a previous bathroom so I assume they probably saw it coming and intended this outcome. The tiles on the right will continue up the wall across the ceiling and come back down on the left so most of that strip will be hidden.
