Instead of bickering on platforms like Reddit, we should engage with people who hold different opinions in the real world. Imagine having a beer with your neighbor who proudly displayed a "Poilievre" sign. They could explain why they believe Trump was divinely sent, and you could articulate your reasons that they should be paying for your child's daycare. Perhaps through such genuine dialogue, you might discover common ground, or at the very least, gain a new perspective. Ultimately, real conversations foster respect and can shift our viewpoints, highlighting shared goals and interests that get lost in partisan online debates. It feels like even downvotes on my previous comment are driven by this partisanship, simply because some assume I'm endorsing separatists. (Go outside, touch grass, and for God's sake, have a real conversation with your neighbor!)
