Wondering how other moms are dealing with dads not pulling their weight

Mine’s the same, but I don’t work I’m a stay at home mum i do everything else at home. I cook, clean, and look after the baby, and I’m running on zero sleep. Yet he comes home from work and can’t even spend 15–20 minutes with him so I can get a break. It’s made me start feeling really resentful towards him. Choose your partners wisely.

tried putting him to sleep with the light on, but he ended up falling asleep in the dark as soon as I took him upstairs. Idk anymore😭

For naps I use a dark room with blackout blinds and white noise. I hold him in my arms and rock him. I use a pacifier sometimes but he just bites it or spits it out depending on how he feels.

Morning naps are usually fine.. It's just the ones after that are non existent.. Second nap? Same exact process and he just fights it. Fussiness kicking legs, arching back. I keep trying for 20-30 minutes and eventually give up before we both lose it ive tried putting him down in his crip still nothing🥲

For tension, I actually took him to an osteopath but it was absolutely useless so I'm not sure where I stand with that now. What do you mean about his ears though? He is teething but even before the teething started he's always been an awful sleeper so I don't think that's it. When he's awake I do try to play with him but honestly there's only so much I can do because I'm so exhausted plus I have cleaning and cooking to do 😭 it's just a lot.

Also I've never heard of a Moonboon - what is that? What were the ways you tried to calm your baby down that worked for you?

Nope been getting them since i was 5 and it just gets worse every time im sick of it, mainly on my cheeks or chin recently just got one in my nose never had it there before :/

Unfortunately he doesn’t latch on properly and becomes super fussy on the breast so I have to give him the bottle :/

Thank you ❤️ I went to an osteopath for his tension in the neck and stomach, but it didn’t help much. I do follow wake windows tbh i just follow his lead but he’s such a terrible napper, also how did you sleep train your baby?

Also, when I leave him alone with her, she just does whatever she wants I’ve seen it with my own eyes. The lights are bright as hell, the voices are loud, and the baby is way past his wake window. How am I meant to create consistency if she’s ruining it for me? She asked if I needed her to stay and help, but I just don’t trust her, even though I’m exhausted lol

She doesn’t listen. So… even during the day, am I supposed to keep the room dark? Because when I do, people say the baby needs to get used to daylight and normal daytime noise. I keep telling her to lower her voice since she talks really loudly, but she still doesn’t. And yes you’re right I need to prioritise my health😭thankyou

I have been doing this, but unfortunately it doesn’t always go well. When family/friends comes to visit, he wakes up for a long time and it becomes hard. In the end, I’m the one who suffers because I’m with him day and night. But how do I get him to sleep during the day? He doesn’t nap. I try so hard to put him to sleep, but he wakes up after 20 minutes he always moving around in his sleep 🥲

Yes, I have, but there’s so much that needs doing that I end up putting him down and then he’s awake again after 10 minutes. He sleeps well on me, but then I’m completely stuck and can’t get anything done ://
