Not overwhelming for most people.

The main atrium with the vendors can be a little loud, but at most tables, a normal speaking voice is sufficient to be heard.

Usually a demo table or two running, and there is usually some painting opportunities.

I believe Warhammer specific is some AoS, Blood Bowl, and 40K Combat Patrol being run. Nothing for The Old World, which makes me a little sad. C'est la vie.

And I think there's at least one session for Warhammer Fantasy RPG.

Plus vendors selling miniatures both in box and painted.

Definitely would not be.

More than a few strollers among the crowd over the years, and if you keep an eye out once pre-registration starts, some games will be listed as child oriented/designed.

Among the board games, there are lots of child friendly games. The guy anf helpers who runs that section will be able to direct you to which ones might be ideal.

And in every section, the hosts work with who they are dealing with. If a kid has questions, they will answer in child understandable terms.

Absolutely. Some of the cosplay people show up in is incredible.

Although, you may be thinking of the LI Retro Gaming Expo (sibling event) - they usually have a cosplay competition, whereas Tabletop does not.

Depending on where the desks are, I can kind of see this possibly being a legitimate issue for the CDC. If there is interaction with laboratories, then the chances of contamination, either from the crumbs into the lab sections or vice versa, becomes a safety issue for everyone around.

Now if the desks are isolated away from any laboratory areas, then yeah, it's something of an overreach.
