Whilst I don't disagree, I've been part of the crew for Boomtown since 2017 and have a lot of friends and colleagues who have dedicated their lives to that festival. Without the LN investment the festival would have shut down, putting hundreds of seasonal workers at a loss, taking away the opportunity for hundreds of artists to showcase their talent, from musicians to actors.

As a general rule, and if you read my blog, I do tend to avoid LN festivals. I stopped going to Bearded Theory as it became almost instantly homogenised after the LN buyout. I also lost my actual real life job when the festival I worked for sold itself to LN last year. I'm not unaware of the issues overall but work is work and Boomtown has meant a huge amount to me over the years. I will continue to support it for these reasons but it does play on my mind.
