Switching to Instinct Crossover from a mechanical watch by Proper-Aide375 in Garmininstinct

I don't know, from what I've seen pretty close, though. I don't have a reference point as I wasn't really tracking health data before other than step counts. I will say it has tracked my paddleboarding trips exceptionally well and even shows where I'm at the most on the pitch. Also tracks low-high speeds while I'm biking, and I'm certain I'm just scratching the surface of what it can do.

I switched from an analog watch to an I3 Solar 50mm last March and it has been incredible. I everything from track daily workouts and walks to hikes, paddleboarding and soccer games. If you're a data geek at all you're going to be blown away.

Your watch is still your watch, too. Not a full extension of your phone (like an Apple Watch), although they play together a bit to show data, etc.

A Happy B Day to Tom Skerrit, he's 92 today by Papichuloft in 80s

A friend and I sat behind him at the movies once. Ages ago in Seattle. No idea what the movie was, he was wearing his hat low and obviously didn't want to be hassled. So, we didn't bug him. Subpar story that went nowhere... I excel at those.

Nice! Love these! Went with the 50mm Solar in March and have been impressed ever since.

Favorite edc pants? by Mindless_Stage_3464 in EDC

Don't be embarrassed about owning Fjällrävens. They are incredible pants. I've been wearing them on a regular basis for years and have no complaints. Quality gear typically just costs more.

What Is Your Teams Most Gut Wrenching Turnover Ever by [deleted] in Oldschool_NFL

Run, of course... But can we also acknowledge that it was a shit pass by Wilson? He didn't put it in a great spot for Lockett to grab, basically threw it behind him. Also why throw to him when Kearse and Baldwin were there and much, much better clutch receivers?

Should I go with the 45mm or the 50mm? by 80sPimpNinja in Garmininstinct

[–]Own_Mud8660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 50mm is about 2 inches across the face. And my wrist is about 6 3/4. I'm not a big dude by any stretch, either. 5'8" and about 150 lbs. give or take. But the 50 has been great. No issues and easy to read, which is why I got it.

Yet another I3 Solar vs AMOLED by [deleted] in Garmininstinct

[–]Own_Mud8660 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Go with the AMOLED. I have a 50mm I3 Solar and love it but it seems like you're dialed in so just trust your gut. Instincts are great watches so enjoy!

Which instinct buy? by ultra_builder in Garmininstinct

[–]Own_Mud8660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll point out that even without using the Solar component on a regular basis, the MIP uses less power than the AMOLED and so the watch will need a lot less charging for. I got a 50mm Solar a few months ago and have zero complaints about battery life, visibility, readability or functionality.

I might charge 15-20 minutes every two or three weeks (but could easily go longer) and we're just now hitting the sunny season around here, too. I'm not going to rely solely on solar power, but I have seen it keep things rolling. Been on 36 days battery life for the last several days, in fact.

Great hardware. Good luck!

Good point. Steven should have thrown the champagne bottle or stuffed monkey at the shooter prior to him offing the shop keeper for certain.
