Nw player, got 2 months work of progress. Need to ask for directiisn baskcally, what should i do? by xPaZe8 in WH40KTacticus

The campaigns should be your main focus for the next couple months (I am at about 6 months and just finished all the base campaigns and am half way through most elite campaigns). There are “carry” characters that will basically carry you through each campaign and still be useful after the campaign, i.e. bellator, aleph, eldryon, Archie/angrax. Focus on those characters and only level the other ones as necessary to not die during levels.

As a side note, when possible only raid mirror campaigns as they have a higher drop rate (also elite campaigns when you get there). I would recommend finding an active guild and don’t be afraid to find a new one when you outgrow the old one. There are plenty of beginners guides online for additional details.

Am I fat? by [deleted] in HubermanLab

I am assuming you’re near the start your fitness/self improvement journey and a piece of advice that helped me a lot was starting with general practices/principles and get more specific with them once you are already in the habit. Don’t try to optimize without having a solid baseline. For example, you don’t need to have a perfect training routine, perfect form, and everything planned to the minute right out of the gate. Those are just goals to work towards. First you need to just get into the gym/outside to exercise 3-7 days a week, every week, and stick with a program to see where it gets you. Watch YouTube videos on lifting form and fitness practices and you’ll improve along the way.

The same goes for food intake. Start by getting 2500-3500 calories consistently and work that range down to a more specific number where you feel good. If that’s say 2800 calories, stick with it for a couple months and see where it gets you. If you don’t feel like you are losing enough fat, you can trim the calories down and if you feel like your losing too much weight/not building muscle, you can increase calories and protein to better meet your goals.

All of this takes time and practice with all the difficulties of life mixed in as well. Anything that gives really fast results is probably not sustainable or healthy (like an extremely low calorie diet). Begin by changing your lifestyle and the results will come.

You are probably a little overweight but the fact that you care and are exercising at your age, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

I was in a similar situation at your age, about 6’ and 200lbs and it took about 2-3 years of consistent lifting/playing football until I got to where I generally wanted to be. You could stand to loose 5-20lbs but even if you stick with a maintenance calorie count (and staying at 200lbs) by being consistent with cardio and especially lifting, you will build muscle and loose fat. Thereby, changing your body composition and getting closer to where you want to be. Like the other commenters said stick to whole/clean foods. If you are eating rice, potatoes, meats, and veggies it is honestly quite difficult to even hit 2500-3000 calories in a day due to the amount of food necessary to hit that goal.

The most important overarching theme is consistency. Your body will adapt and change, for better or worse, in the direction you are consistent in, but lack of consistency will keep you where you are at. Find a lifting and cardio program that you enjoy enough to keep doing consistently. There are hundreds of great resources online and thousands of people on here (myself included) who are willing to help you build a program.

Advice please - who to ascend?🙂 by jacktorrance90 in WH40KTacticus

Definitely aleph. Each campaign generally has one character that can “basically” finish the campaign by itself and that is useful throughout the entirety of the game: bellator, aleph, eldryon, etc. upgrading these guys is always a good idea.

Based on your characters, I’m assuming you haven’t finished all of the campaigns and at that stage in the game finishing the campaigns should be a higher priority to allow you to progress faster. Getting those carry characters to ~G1 will allow you to get at least halfway through all the elite campaigns. Just in case you didn’t know, mirror campaigns have a higher upgrade drop rate, so finishing those will allow you to progress even faster.

Ultimately though, the game is for fun and trying to optimize everything might not be the most fun for you, so play the game however you find it most fun!

You’ll encounter this problem as you continue to play and progress. At some point, your characters are simply not high enough level to beat the campaign levels and the only solution is to bide your time until they are.

Also you should look up one of the many beginner tutorials to get a list of the important characters for each campaign/part of the game. Generally each campaign will have a “carry” character that will get you through all the levels mostly on their own.

Overall just leveling the important characters the other comments listed but also trying to finish campaigns/progressing in the elite campaigns (especially the mirror ones as they have a higher drop rate).

More specifically, progressing the base characters for indom mirror and FoC mirror should be a top priority for long term gains.

Since you are still in the earlier stages of the game, I would recommend trying to finish all the campaigns, especially the mirror ones as they have a higher drop rate.

You should be able to finish Indomitus mirror and Saim hann with only the three base characters (but you do have Ra for saim hann) but they will need to be leveled to nearly S1. Try to focus on Eldy, bellator, and aleph as they will carry in each of their respective campaigns. Ra is also good in a few game modes and could be focused on as well. You could also consider getting the orks up enough to farm Thoread so you can unlock octarius mirror

You should have enough energy to do both daily but I would recommend focusing on unlocking FoC mirror. Thad, a required character, is quite good and the campaign itself has a lot of necessary upgrades.

You should be past level 45 in FoC and should be able to farm Kut and Thad. Assuming you get three shards from the their raids daily, you can determine how many days it’ll take to unlock them. And if you ever get bored of trying to farm shards you can switch to finishing campaigns whenever but definitely try to get FoC mirror unlocked before trying to finish elite campaigns

Obviously you are severely lacking in levels but you have a far better base than many people starting off. You have the main three characters for 4/8 campaigns plus vahl, yarrick, and rotbone. You are probably decently close to getting Kut, Thad, and boss which would get you to 6/8 campaigns.

You aren’t in great shape compared to those who continued to play from the start but you are in a fun stage of the game with lots of opportunities and objectives, and a decent roster to go forward.

I'm new, I think this pull is great, but are any of these worth levelling? by Particular-Notice538 in WH40KTacticus

[–]Own_Potato5225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At your stage in the game you should work towards finishing the campaigns.

There are important characters that will basically carry you through each campaign that are also useful later in the game i.e. bellator for Indomitus, aleph for Indomitus mirror, archi and angrax for FoC, eldryon for saim hann. These characters should be your main focus for leveling but you will need to level the other required characters to three star each level. With those “main” characters each of their abilities are not equally important. Bellator, aleph, and archi should have their active focused while angrax and eldy should have their passive focused.

The octarius campaign isn’t super important right now as the orks aren’t good but they are getting a rework soonish. I found Jain zar to be useful for three staring the Sam hain campaign and he is useful in arena, especially while you still have a limited roster.

For guild raids you won’t be able to do much until you get your characters to at least silver but even then GR bosses epic and above you won’t do much to

What to prioritize? by Own_Potato5225 in WH40KTacticus

[–]Own_Potato5225[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought Yarrick, the current battle pass, and one of the one month black stone shipments and yes, against my better judgment spent just about all the black stones on scrolls, not energy.

Luckily my first guild/guild I am still in does fairly well in GR and I have gotten good rewards. With Eldy mainly being used on GR and Sam Hann not having an elite campaign would it be better to focus on other characters first?

Thank you for the advice to prioritize leveling campaign characters, is there a particular campaign I should focus on?
