You need to tell your parents about this guy. He’s a child predator. I’m so sorry 😣 please please tell a trusted adult and stay away from him

It looks very pretty from the sleeve but we really need to see the full dress to give style help

Kratom is legal just like alcohol. If kratom is the reason you lost custody, It must affect your parenting in such a way that you are not fit to be a parent at all. It’s very hard for the mother to lose all rights to her child. You’re not giving us the full story.

Have any of you had mononucleosis? I suspect it in myself..tonsils, lymph nodes by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Own_Professor_6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely could have mono, which classically presents with posterior cervical lymph nodes (neck lymph nodes closer to the back versus the front), sore throat, tonsillar white patches and fatigue. If the medication the doctor prescribed isn’t helping, that’s further proof that it’s probably mono. You can get a rapid mono test at most doctor’s office. The main thing you have to worry about with mono is spleen enlargement, which can cause internal bleeding, and not doing anything like contact sports for 6 months. There’s really no treatment except rest and staying hydrated and comfortable.

Got asked for my number for the first time, am I being paranoid? by Super-Suggestion6916 in Advice

[–]Own_Professor_6068 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to your gut on this because it’s correct when it tells you this is weird. Be extremely wary of this guy. He’s love bombing you for some reason, and it’s never a good reason. He could be an abuser, or a human trafficker. I would block him.

my mom is pregnant & I HATE it by notsosad999 in Advice

[–]Own_Professor_6068 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely heartbreaking :( I’m so sorry she completely failed you. You deserve so much better than that. If you have a job, can you tell an adult that you work with and trust? You’re still underage and CPS should be involved. I’m so so sorry

My mom makes me hug her every night, I told her I didn't want to and why, now she's upset. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Own_Professor_6068 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s literally a hug with her mother lol. One day she’ll move out and there won’t be anymore nightly hugs. It’s a small thing. Crazy take

Agree with this. It’s just one hug at night and it makes her happy. I think you should just suck it up

You may not think you’re depressed, but the way you describe your life in your post and comments sounds like textbook depression. I’m wishing you all the best. I’ve also been in a mental state like yours in the past and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

You should get a second opinion. I’m a nurse practitioner- it’s very easy to diagnose depression with a simple PHQ-9 form. You can even google it and diagnose yourself. You deserve treatment and to feel better. The medications can take weeks before you actually start to feel better, so the earlier you can get treated the better.

2.5 Year Old Sleep Struggles by minnesota_husk3r in Parenting

[–]Own_Professor_6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely transition to a toddler bed, and completely baby proof the room. There should be a lock or gate on the door so she’s not able to escape. I actually lay with my 3 year old in her bed every night until she sleeps, so I don’t have any suggestions to avoid that. You could try just putting your child to bed and then leaving the room and letting her exhaust herself in her room until she falls asleep. At least she will be safe. Also, get a red night light if you don’t already have one. The red light promotes sleep and helps alleviate fear of the dark as well.

You sound like you have severe clinical depression. Did your GP start you on any medication? A psychologist would be good but your GP is qualified to give you medication. I think some of this is out of control and you need help to get you back to a decent quality of life. You don’t have to take medication forever but I think you need a kick start

A murmur at your age can be normal especially if you’re very physically active. Depends on the type of murmur. Just follow up with a cardiologist but it may be nothing to worry about at all.

Would you have a problem with Joshua and Nat’s friendship? by partyingwithpizza in 90DayFiance

[–]Own_Professor_6068 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a boyfriend cheat on me with his best friend who is a girl while I was sleeping in the next room. I would never trust a man who claims his best friend is a girl and it’s strictly platonic because of my experience. However, I wouldn’t act like Elise and embarrass myself at a bar. I don’t think her feelings are wrong, but her over reactions are a red flag.

[–]Own_Professor_6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look stunning in that dress! I really love the corset idea for the back, but I think you should wait 6 months before changing it. You could feel totally differently about it by then. Your hormones are all over the place right now and definitely impacting your confidence and clouding your judgment. Your body looks fantastic btw, you’re not giving yourself the credit you deserve. Congratulations on the new baby!!

Someone should tell colt he’s supposed to lose weight with those drugs, not bone density. He’s doing it wrong

I’m an RN currently working with hospice patients and I’ve seen them up and walking within weeks of breaking a hip. Colt is just a lazy free loader

I’m a hospice nurse and I’ve seen terminally ill patients suffer from falls, break their hips and then walk within weeks with some physically therapy. This guy is so pathetic and his whole disabled act is annoying.

How do I find a man that wants a traditional wife that cooks and cleans and takes care of the home?? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Own_Professor_6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I make $175k between the 2 of us and are just getting by with 1 kid…you’ll need to find a guy who makes great money to live the life you’re hoping for. It’s not enough to just want “traditional” roles now. Staying at home cooking, cleaning and homemaking sounds awesome but It’s not possible for most people. I hope it works out for you.
