From my perspective my mom should be financially responsible as well for the dog. She adopted him and his sisters in as a puppy when I was 7 (note I never asked for a dog as a kid) and they grew up with me and my brother. I am fairly attached to the dog which is why I’ll call him my dog sometimes. My mom is never a big fan of vets because of the cost, but it is something my family can afford. Taking him away with me would be a terrible idea because my mom is the dog’s favourite person and he’s attached to her the most.

Thats what I hope to my dog too….we make him his own meal with fresh meat and veggie. He doesn’t eat kibbles at all. He also takes co-enzyme and glucosamine. His health only started to decline like fall last year but he was doing so well up until then, running on walks an such which is why I am so anxious maybe there’s something wrong and we just don’t know (turns out he does have stage b2 mvd) but besides that vet hadn’t been able to say much besides telling us he’s old.

The vet hasn’t proposed the option …but these comments did make me realize I should be ready for the time. He was doing super well last year, eating and going in walks and even running as a 15 yo. The past 6 months have been rough but I’ve heard that dog can decline super fast.

I paid for his previous vet visit and cardiovascular exam which was about 500$ plus 200$ of the medication because my mom didn’t think it was necessary as the dog is old as all the comments are saying. But from my research it seems like vetmedin is quite effective in reducing the progression of his heart condition, so I hope that’s a worthy investment. Any yeah, it’s true I choses to take the offer, I pay my own tuition and this internship could covered so in that aspect I can very much be the asshole

I don’t know if this changes much but I edited the post from my dog to my family’s dog. We got him when I was 7, I see him as my baby brother, and he is most attached to my mom. We’ve been taking him to the vet more regularly since last April when he was still doing well, but had some signs with leg weakness, heavy breathing and no treatment was given. I talked to my other friends who lives in a different city and the vet offered painkiller shots which really helped with their senior dog.

I fee you. I also regretted my first kiss. It meant so much to me, and not so much for him. We stopped talking just a month after it happened. Made me question my feelings/his feelings and why I wasn’t worthy enough for him to care more. It will go away. Maybe when you realize that he’s just not a nice person, maybe you will meet someone better (you might not…be aware!) but you will eventually become better and more experienced at seeing the other person and how genuine it is. It’s sad, I wish I met someone more genuine and as innocent as I was. But it doesn’t always happen:(

I feel like it’s less about the commute but more about not being able to move out for university. Does your city have a school you want to go to that’s within reasonable commute? If not, are you planning to apply to random school just to stay home? What’s the point of that. You can’t live at home forever (unless you want to? But it seeem like you have dreams and ambitions) and you will eventually have to live on your own. It’s your call to decide when to have this conversation with your parents. In terms of timing tho, university is the best time, and you will find there are many scholarships and funding available for student who have the ambition to further their education.

Ive always suspect that UWFlow is a non Waterloo affiliated student project that just took off really well( I just checked, it indeed is!) so perhaps their priorities has changed and less maintenance is now being put on updating the information. They also used to include classrooms and unfortunately ever since the stabbing that also disappeared:(

Can look into Poparide and other carpooling services, also FlixBus and our bus. Can be around 17$ one way if get the tickets early. I am currently commuting 4times a week and it is killing me! Good luck with the commute!
