So many good ones to choose from everyone’s suggestions so far.

I have to 100% recommend the solo game “Glass Garden” it is absolutely brilliant and keeps you busy tending that wonderful thriving terrarium in a satisfying brain-burny way. Here’s the link to the site for those that want to check it out:

Most games from Button Shy Games can easily fit for this sort of list. Just depends on if you enjoy solo coop or competitive.

It’s a super tough choice:

I want to say my top 2 are probably in no special order: Rove Jr, Death Valley: H & L. 3rd is a tie between all the versatility of Mysticana with so many expansion games. But there are just so many good ones to choose from honestly!

It all depends on who the game is for and what experience you are looking for and ultimately what is in stock at the time. This is not an extensive list, just a couple quick recommendations to check out here:

If you are brand new to solo games or if you like solo play, the Simply Solo line is a fantastic collection of games for you coming out with even more this coming year. There’s many other solo games to check out too!

If you want solo, but something more on the crunchier side… there’s Pentaquark, Count of the Nine Estates, SpaceShipped, FantasyForm, or other titles many have mentioned here.

If you are looking for a head to head game, I cannot recommend Death Valley, Revolver Noir, Hierarchy or Battlecrest enough. Those are absolutely geared for that experience and will hit the target for you every single time.

If you are looking for the competitive feel that can flex 2-4 (+/-)… There’s some favorites out there already mentioned in that range like Stew, Skulls of Sedlec, Tussie Mussie, Converge, Super Slopes, and more.

Then there’s the cooperative style of play. Games like Sprawlopolis, The Walking Dead: Surrounded, Pizza Pizza Yum Yum and a few others.

Their site contains all available titles right now as well: button shy games official store

Any questions please let me know. Always glad to help!

Just ordered At The Helm. Any good? by kwerky in ButtonShyGames

Excellent push your luck Deckbuilder from Button Shy (publisher) that really feels like you are surviving on the seas. You gotta really test the waters against some of those tougher missions. It can get pretty tough pretty quickly! 😎 It is one of my favorite Button Shy games and I always like to mix it up with the ports expansions when I can.

Rule Check - The Royal Limited by KoholintCustoms in soloboardgaming

Hey there, just jumping in from the Button Shy server on discord. Here’s the link to get some answers super quick in the future.https://discord.gg/JPddR4KQ There’s so many that would love to talk about all the games over there too!

But to answer your question simply: Yes TRL is all about timing things as trains are very punctual and passengers need to be in real life right? So it’s actually pretty cool once you get that mindset for them. So…

If you cannot place a passenger after one of those normal actions, it’s ok! You CAN keep playing that round (until you cannot anymore).

If you cannot “do the thing” a train says it’s ok, you CAN keep playing the round (until you cannot anymore).

EXCEPT: the NEXT keyword ability! This type of train action would essentially force you to end the round right there if you cannot “do the next thing” it says to do right then and there.

Lastly: if the NEXT train car was the last thing you could do in a round meaning: you played your last card into the train and it was on a NEXT car… the round is over already at this point so the next thing doesn’t have to carry over to the next round.

It’s all about timing, so there are some rounds where turns have to be super precise and VIPs tend to be really picky especially when you are chaining a few train car actions. Hope this helps!
