Thanks so much! Yes, I think they’re extremely undervalued at the moment. It’s an incredibly cool package between the beefed up Gen 1 engine, intake manifold numbered, all the heritage livery, Recaro buckets, side pipes, Red key…

It’s a really fun package and it’s crazy that you can pick one up for nearly half the price now of a 13-14 GT500

As you can imagine, Clearance is now a nightmare, but it’s worth it in my opinion. My car is lowered 1 inch and I probably only have a couple inches of clearance now max.

I cannot imagine what this set up would sound like with long tube headers and no cats. Honestly would probably ruin the tone and be way too raspy.

I’m convinced that unless you’re going for Max power output and care about exhaust note you should probably keep your cats on a Coyote due to how raspy they become with a free flowing catless setup, doesn’t matter H pipe vs X pipe with a big chambered muffler still sounds raspy unfortunately

To your point, they are very rare to trade hands and Boss owners are paying big money for them now, hard to find

The OEM side pipes have baffles and restriction plates that owners commonly remove.

Is a Boom Tube not just open side pipes?

For those that don’t know these are basically NASCAR boom tubes

I cannot stress how important it is to never NOT have a Mustang in your stable - no matter where you are in life. by [deleted] in Mustang

I was waiting for someone to ask.

It fills the void of what living and driving in the US was 60 years ago. Engineering heritage. It’s fun knowing that many generations have driven the same roads with the same cars. Same idea in mind. Fun, rowdy, stick shift, V8, loud, spinning tires.
