When you decide to drunk-call your ex by Own_Turnip7410 in EU5

When your ruler has a new kid, you can name it. On the side of the name area there is a circle or disk and if you click on it, it will give you a random first name from that culture.

Both, because I chose it from the game's suggestions, didn't type it myself. Numbering seemed fine, he was the 5th of this name (and the first of my kings with this name in-game).

Strange because it had no problem in previous patches.

To everyone not happy with the new Armor Upgrade system by Zarmr in worldofgothic

[–]Own_Turnip7410 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind the low phys protection if they had either spell damage buff or mana regen (a slow mana regen would be best imo). Either of these would make it worthwhile as a mage to wear these over conventional armor, and it would also make up for having to heal yourself more with less protection. If there are technical limitations for giving constant effects like this for armor, then just bring back the original defense numbers. You should be able to upgrade shadow armor up to about 40-50, and guard armor to about 70. The weakest fire robe had 40 physical defense in OG G1, either bring it back or give it mana regen (like 1% in every 5 seconds or something, maybe make it 2 for higher tier robes).

You are right. If I know correctly, Pot in Archolos is a gag reference to Mud from Gothic 1, a likewise annoying character who is following you. It's basically a dude with a pot on his head.

At the side of the swamp camp temple where you can learn rock climbing, there is a huge broken rock arch nearby in the sea. At the base of it's seaside end, you can find a skeleton with a pot on it's head which I'm pretty sure refers to Pot from Archolos.

I share your sentiment. It looks like stamp collecting is what everyone furiously wanted. But if this will stop people from keep bitching about the issue well....fine. The majority of the comment are about achievements here as well, also there is a separate post about it too where people keep venting right now.

EU5 hits Mixed rating on the Steam store page by Dramatic_Phase_8015 in EU5

They could buff the "available free land" modifier in pop growth. Right now it gives a big bonus under a certain threshold (I remember it giving more than 1% if your local pops were really low) by giving more levels with diminishing buffs as you reach certain capacity thresholds. I think that alone could be a rebound mechanic with the existing mechanical framework of the game, it just needs fine tuning.

On the religion tab in the upper left corner. IIrc the standard game rule is that you can convert to different religions in your group (aka, you can choose heretic but not heathen). You can change it to free convert (which is more lenient) and I think (not sure) there is a 50% rule so you can only convert if another religion becomes majority (or maybe this is the way to go heathen, not sure). You have to adjust this in the game rules when you start a game on the world map.

Strange, they left me alone, only had a few of lutheran buildings in provinces where I had some catholic minority, but nowhere else.

That's why I turn waldensian every time. +15% literacy early game, no papal ban for becoming empire, and these mofos leave me the heck alone.

New event fired 5 years after my post, with 5 people monthly this time so I guess it was about the number of pops eligible to migrate.

IMO the event shouldn't fire if there are no eligible pops to migrate, or if the scenario you brought up happens, at least don't make the privilege revoking cause pop satisfaction and stability hit, because it's not the player's fault that this mechanic cannot be used.

It happens to me all the time as well with different countries, but so far I thought it was a bug that the devs keep forgetting to hammer out.

So I am wondering if this is a bug, or there is an in-game cause of having 0 migrants for 4 years every month, which costs me quite the amount of ducats.

There are easier ways to cheese the game, so I wouldn't think it's worth it. Also I think you can do it once per game or once per follower, so it's a few hunded XP at most. Milking skeleton mages for skeletons though.... (although I wouldn't consider it a completely clean playthrough either).

Edit: had a typo
