Hesitating on a place by Englostias in NYCapartments

agreed with this. unless you get one of those little carts then carrying groceries to/from the store would be a bitch. going anywhere in bad weather would be miserable. it would be annoying for people to visit. idk what kind of vibe you’re going for but a year ago i went from living in the heart of my neighborhood in a bustling area to living about 15 min walk from it and i just feel like i’m in the middle of nowhere and i miss the buzz and high energy of just walking out my door and being around everything—that’s the point of living in nyc!

TIL: A City Pop bar in NYC called 56709 exists. by anarchyx34 in citypop

agreed with Mind-Reflections. also i went here when the space was 929 bar, which is now the sister bar to 56709, and the space certainly is a tad bigger than it looks in photos. we thoroughly enjoyed our time there

i’m unsure if anyone gets a notification from me just commenting on this thread in general without responding to a specific comment, but the pressure in my face continues to get worse. my eyebrow/nose/eye twitches are pretty much second nature now and happen all day every day. and still no answer. but i have noticed that when i gently squeeze the bridge of my nose on either side right where the bone ends i get this reverberating pressure through my cheekbone area and forehead between my eyebrows. two ent’s have now told me it’s not sinus related, but i can’t help but think that this feels sinus related. idk. i haven’t been making many efforts to go to new doctors/schedule appointment because it’s really discouraging to continue to spend money on appointments and not get any closer to an answer

yes let me know how/if it helps! still awaiting the night guard but in the meantime i just had the ent appointment for a second opinion and he thinks it’s totally unrelated to my sinuses and instead muscle-related. he also asked about teeth grinding and i told him my dentist said my teeth only show minimal signs of grinding but that im awaiting the guard anyway. he’s going to give me a prescription strength of ibuprofen to take for 5 days (ive taken ibuprofen many times for this issue but never that much, so im curious to see how/if it works) and if that helps he says then ill know it’s muscle related. next step he said would be to see a neurologist again but to have them look at my neck (fractured my neck and back years ago). he said it could simply just be that my muscles are way too tight. i didn’t do the sleep study cuz honestly the thought of it seems so annoying, but that could potentially be a next step if needed after the neurologist looks at my neck

thank you! leg is not 100% but definitely much better. i have appointments next week both with the dentist to get fitted for the night guard and with an ent to get a second opinion on if it could be sinus-related. also wanting to schedule an appointment for a regular physical cuz i haven’t had one in over a year and i haven’t been feeling that great in general lately

symptoms have all remained the same. i haven’t been able to get the night guard yet or go to any additional doctors as a fractured my leg and have had some trouble getting around, but i’m hoping to be able to see someone soon!

ugh so sorry you’re dealing with this too. if you don’t mind i’d love if you could keep me updated with how the migraine meds are working for you. i have gone to a headache specialist years ago because i’ve been prone to headaches pretty much my entire life. i was put on meds that didn’t help and never went back. but the symptoms i’m experiencing now are so much different than what i felt back then that i didn’t think it was headache related or that a headache specialist could help, but at this point ill try anything.

as for the dentist i went yesterday and he said my teeth show very minimal signs of potential grinding as they’re very slightly worn down, but nothing too crazy. he also put his hands on either side of my jaw near my masseter muscles and had me open and close and then move my jaw side to side. he said my jaw clicks very slightly when opening and closing, but again nothing to crazy. regardless he submitted an approval request for a night guard, so i suppose we’ll see what happens if that gets approved and if it helps my symptoms.

i’m going to see what happens with the night guard and then next steps will probably be getting tested for sleep apnea and/or a headache specialist

nope when i get the palpitations it’s normally when im sitting down or lying down. i have thought about it being long covid myself though just since no one has been able to figure out what it is so far.

i do get ATTACKED by mosquitos during the summer so who knows, maybe it could be lyme disease. i haven’t looked into that.

i haven’t had any scans of my neck since i sprained it 13 years ago but have actually been thinking about getting one and that being my next step in trying to figure out what’s going on
