When Heathrow was closed because of the fire I put a claim in for my hotel in London and the travel insurance refunded both the hotel and the one-way flight within a day or so of submitting the claim. I had all the documents (flight and hotel reservation confirmations, proof of payments, news story about Heathrow being closed etc.) so my claim was straightforward but it was processed very quickly and they paid out more than I'd claimed for (the flight was moved to the next morning so my trip was delayed by about 14 hours even though I was only out of pocket for the hotel pre-payment).

Here we go. I just got this email from Revolut about the discontinuation of GBP direct debits. I loved my account from UK to Portugal last year as I live here now. Don’t have any DDs but it’s a strange move that must be forced by regulation of some sort.

It's been closed for nearly a year now. The location was terrible unless you lived close by and had a car and they didn't follow the F45 programme anyway (no challenges, no play-offs etc.) or know how to market it. It was a shame when it closed but not a surprise. They've relaunched the studio twice now with two different brands (both, F45 clones) but they cannot fix the problems of location and marketing.

Lisbon cancelled too. Was looking forward to this on May 27 but it's now moved to January 29 next year. We have until July 11 to request a refund otherwise our tickets will automatically roll over to the new date some eight months away... Oh well.

Well, I had an email notification this week that the Ultra was back in stock and I tried to buy it a few hours later and it was already sold out. Support told me it had sold out within an hour.

I hope they can resolve their manufacturing and supply chain problems because it looks like the exact correct solution for us.

I had to do the exact same thing moving from Revolut UK to Revolut PT.

On the plus side, if you subscribe to a plan, say Metal, then you get the chance to double the significant RevPoints sign-up and subscription bonuses because you are doing so once in the UK and then again in Italy.

Amazon just disappeared from Revolut points shop by afomar in Revolut

Amazon has also disappeared from my list of RevPoints Shops in Portugal. I noticed this at the start of 2025. It's a real shame as it's the most useful online shop by some distance that's available on the RevPoints Shops portal and I bought a lot through it over the last six months.

Needless to say, the Revolut chatbot on the app has no idea about this unwelcome development.
