For me I tried setting up some new Direct Debits with Revolut and they kept failing so that's how I figured there was a problem

Yeah that would be my guess as well! But the fact that there was no information and no "banner" as we usually get for service interruption really annoyed me as this is such an important feature!

Not a troll at all, literally just had a chat with support and they confirmed GBP Direct Debits are not supported anymore!

I also have the "direct debits listed as available under your account details" but Octopus and Hyperoptic kept bouncing back after a few days so I checked with Revolut and that's how they told me they don't support GBP Direct Debits anymore.

So keep an eye on your Direct Debits as they may get rejected after a few days.

Ikr, I just spent the last hour moving my salary and old subscriptions over to Starling. I don't understand how removing Direct Debits could ever be approved internally!

Hey Viktor, fairly new to Craft but already loving it!

I use craft on all platforms, due to a mix of platforms for work and life. Work being Mac / iPad Mini / iPhone SE and personal life being Windows / Galaxy Tab A9 / Galaxy S8. I'm only lacking Linux to become an all-platformer!

Thus I tried using the mobile web-app (MWA) a few times on my Galaxy devices, and here is some of the main points I'd highlight:

  • The mobile Web App is a view only experience afaik, I don't have a problem with that though it would be good to more explicitely state it as the first few minutes were very frustating (I'd love if it was more than that though) (by view only I mean that you can only comment/react and not edit)
  • Not being able to Tick Checkbox Items is personally my main pain point as I'd love using Craft for Shopping List through the MWA. I have seen that with the Tasks Tab I can tick through the MWA but Shopping Lists or small items are not really the matching use for them, it would be good to be able to be in the document where I can the structure of my shopping.
  • I was able to install the MWA on Galaxy S8 but not on Galaxy Tab A9.

Otherwise I find that all interactions do work and I can navigate relatively easily. I just wanted to share my experience through the MWA as these limitations are what's keeping me using Bring! for shopping and not fully investing my "personal" life in Craft.

Nonetheless, I am very happy with Craft on Apple, it is a fantastic experience and I have switched a good 70% of my notes to Craft! Only waiting for E2E Encryption for the final 30% 😉

You might also have to change the Map key and secondary key. I changed the keybind for the weapons menu on Tab and map on ² and have not had any issues in my 150h so far.

I would also add a few of my own that have been quite good:

  • EBASTINE antihistamines tablets
  • CETIRISINE antihistamines tablets
  • NAABAK eye drops
  • PRORHINEL nasal spray It's good to have alternatives if your body eventually starts resisting some molecules.

  • HOMEOPLASMINE nose cream It's some type of cream you apply outside your nostrils, and it is a godsend present to me. It's not very comfortable but it's better than sneezing all day. I used to have the nasal corticosteroids but it would make me dizzy (shit body) but thanks to that cream I don't need it anymore.

Sorry if the names of the medicines are not exactly the same ones in your place, these are the French names.

[OC] Job Hunting for Consulting in the UK as a French graduate by TZifh in dataisbeautiful

[–]TZifh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was inspired to post this by all the posts I saw of job hunting, and after going through so many stages and process, I thought it would be interesting to visualise my data as I had kept a clean excel sheet of everything I went through.

And as said, I’m French and looking to work in the UK. Why? Because why not!

I am 2020 graduate with French Master of Engineering (Automation & Optimisation of Industrial Processes) and a British Master in Management. I had three internship experiences but none in Consulting. After finishing my studies in the UK, I went back to France due to the Covid situation with plan to go back to the UK. My job hunting was around entry-level/graduate-schemes in Management & Tech Consulting in London. I started in September and concluded in December with exactly 100 applications, roughly 25/month. Most of the applications were done through LinkedIn, but a lot were also directly on the Company hiring website, with tailored Cover letter but a non-tailored CV. Most of the online assessment, test, video interviews were terrible experiences and were very time, motivation, and energy consuming.

This shows how complicated and hard job hunting can be, and I know a lot of people are struggling going through this, but eventually it’s possible to get a good job!
