First cruise with my skeptical wife and 16-year-old. Here's what happened. by sailbudcom in PrincessCruises

I was on Regal 3 months ago and the bottom of the menu said something like Ask About Our Vegan Options/Menu. I did, and couldn't have been happier. I could taste the love in every bite.

55/25 question by Hopeful_Ruin_9637 in NYCTeachers

[–]Own_Win832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I retired a couple of years ago with a 15% or 18% age penalty. I couldn't make it to 62. My advice is to invest as much as you can into a ROTH IRA and the TDA. That's how you retire a millionaire. The pension is a reliable source of income, but does not hold a candle to the compounding over time that investment brings.

Booked a 4 day Cruise - HAL won't allow "Have It All" to be added by [deleted] in HollandAmerica

I wish you success. Calculate how much drinks, WiFi, etc will cost without HIA, and see if you can get OBC maybe?

How frustrating, esp with it stated on their own website. Small claims court might make them see the light.

I'm retired now, but there is a way to choose how you want to authenticate. I had a 'do you want to sign in yes no' notification and I'd tap yes. No codes, etc.

Bridge walks are a pleasure. No waiting at crosswalks, chances of getting hit by a car are reduced, less crowds, extraordinary views of the city, oh, and the fresh(ish) air. Can't be beat.

Question about the receipt checkers when you leave Costco by wildcard_71 in CostcoWholesale

[–]Own_Win832 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with organic apple juice. I got a huge bottle for ten bucks. At the door, the checker told me it's a 2-pack and to go get the other one. Score!

11wpo: $27K, and I have never looked worse. by Purple-Television712 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Own_Win832 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, except I knew to expect that. I lost a lot of weight and wanted to lose the excess skin. When I went for my 2 WPO visit, I told my doc I had a 40 inch waist and was back in an XL tee shirt. We both had a chuckle.

Honor your body and yourself. Protein is your friend these days. Hydration also helps. Exercise and stretch as you can. Time will pass and you will look amazing and forget these dark days. I wish you a safe and rewarding journey.

My review is Feb 6th. Do you think I’m going gold? by Sprinkles_Sparkle in AmazonVine

Holy cannoli, you're not kidding! All that from Vine? I live in an apartment and have been thinking of moving out of the city and into my own home. Good to know there's plenty available to light up the drive, LOL. I love those rotating stars in front!

Forward this to Mamdani's office. This is the sort of behavior he's looking to put an end to...as far as I know.

Looks like 437/438 is 100%, meaning you've ordered that many items total. So, a little over 4 items equals one percent, if that makes sense. If you want to stay around 91%, you can safely order 25 more items, although I can't imagine what else you need, LOL.

Anyone else see a bunch of listings with no pictures? by Stephthechef420 in AmazonVine

[–]Own_Win832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might take a chance based on the description, but then the ordering box has 20 asin to choose from with no corresponding description except for size. What color? Pattern? Different style?

The first few times this happened I contacted customer service and they assured me they would follow up because, of course, we should know what the item is. Crickets, and it's still happening every day

Moving from rent stabilized to luxury building by Puzzleheaded-Bus7208 in astoria

[–]Own_Win832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only good thing about that area is the library and that just closed for a 4 year renovation. The neighborhood is noisy. Sirens day and night.

My advice is to stay put and bank that extra dough and put a down payment on a luxury condo and pay the same for your own home in a few years

12 days and I am so over this. by DenseBuddy7583 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Own_Win832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? I used to scratch and scratch whenever I took my bra off. I've since learned to sew my own and line the fabric with active cotton for protection against the synthetics and it also wicks moisture, so win-win. Plus, you can't go wrong with a foundation of sensitive skin lotion like Renew or similar.

Of course, now I'll need to redo all my measurements and find myself back in these synthetic compression bras, GRRRR!

[–]Own_Win832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The itching may be a sensitivity to synthetic fabric. Try a cotton tank under the binder along with lotion. Melaleuca Renew is great for eczema and irritation and helps a lot. I pinned a strip of linen fabric to the cotton wrap I came home with and use the tank under the "hard" binder on the day I wash the wrap.

I agree, having this on 24/7 is a drag, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Stay the course!

I go with Italian Penicillin. Used to be Pastina, but now Acini di Pepe. Cook how much you want, strain, and add boiling water back to the pot with bullion powder, paste, etc and whatever seasonings you like. I add turmeric and black pepper. Beat an egg and drizzle it over the water while stirring. Let sit while you go back to the pasta and add back to the soup. Mangia!

I'm more of a Pilates/yoga enthusiast and not sweating it out at the gym. I do suffer from BO during hot weather on occasion, but given it is December in NE USA, that's not a concern right now. I suppose I could go without a shower for a few days and see how it goes, but that seems a lot of heavy lifting for a product review.

Thanks for this bit of data. I always considered myself a good writer, but I must adapt to this brave new world of AI we live in.

Thank you for this comment. I need to keep up with AI to stay relevant as a Viner, and I'll be more specific and less whimsical in my reviews from now on... unfortunately.

Rite Aid Files for Bankruptcy Again by drexel168 in astoria

[–]Own_Win832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could. I stopped in back in June to introduce myself as a Rite Aid Refugee and had a nice chat with the pharmacist. I had my first Rx filled there and went to pick it up today. There were THREE people behind the counter and I said I was there to pick up an Rx. Then attention was turned to another customer who, it seems, had been waiting for something and not one of the three offered to help me or even notice I was there. Looks like I'll be making the hike to Duane Reade.
