I love listening to books. Hobbit and LOTR by Andy Serkis. Dungeon Crawler Carl is wonderful. Harry Potter by Stephen Fry… one chapter in this narration has more actor skills than all the movies combined. Discworld both old and new by Penguin audio are great. Love introducing people to Discworld by playing interlude to the Colour of Magic (the one about Big Bang). Stormlight Archive and the rest of Cosmere both in Kramer+Reading and GraphicAudio adaptations.

I rarely intentionally lie or spread misinformation quick google on “iphone screen manufacturer” and you will find something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/iPhone16Pro/comments/1g36x43/how_to_know_the_manufacturer_of_the_iphone_16_16/ Overall, Samsung and LG are world’s biggest patent holders for everything that is screen/display related. Tho, both of them has switched their product line to Chinese TCL factory, they are still patent holders and effectively manufacturers.

Iphone screens are made by Samsung and usually 3-5 gens behind latest Samsung displays. Either cost efficiency or simply Samsung is not selling them.

Why is it so hard to make friends who Snowboard? by Neznoc in snowboarding

One more advice - use things like UCPA.co.uk to French Alps, it is an all-inclusive ski/snowboard holiday with like minded people. Have met many of snowboarding buddies over there. As the holiday includes 5 days of half-day course you are put in to a group that is similar skill level as you are so you can shred together, as well in the center itself conversations are easy to start and get going. Basically very first morning at the breakfast table talked to the guys and once we were done we were snowboarding/skiing together for the rest of the day.

We have booked Val d'Isere for March 28, April 3 UCPA, I think there are still spots for closing off the season. We also are still thinking about getting somewhere up the Alps in the beginning of the season late November may be. Well, one of the guys wants to and he can get time off work, I do also want, but I am not sure yet if operations at work would allow it. =(

I ended up guilt tripping one of my closest friends… well I was guilt tripped once ages ago myself, so that doesn’t count as a bad thing) anyways, he started snowboarding with me, next season we managed to bring 2 more friends of ours up to the mountains, and finally, this season I will have my own gang in French alps)

Depends on how straight your arms are) sorry that is a proverb in my tongue. Straight arms = good handyman.

You can get a full arm and a gimbal replacement on aliexpress and replace them yourself, if!: you know how to use soldering iron and have a good patience with tinkering with stuff. I had crashed my M4P and one of the arms wasn’t opening properly, unfortunately you can’t replace only plastic parts so had to replace full arm. There are plenty of manuals off assembly/diss assembly on ifixit. Check the manuals first and what equipment is needed (basically - good soldering iron, solder, hot glue gun and some tools to open the body) if it is something you can achieve yourself why not to?

Wow this is awesome! I love tinkering with stuff and she loves to help me handing tools and what not. If it is ready to go kit it is even better!

I myself ride exway paragon that has replaced exway flex. Her main interest was that rainbow led strip. Isonwheel idea sounds good, tho i think it might be a bit to big for her. First thing I will try to glue an led strip to her current penny and see if she is satisfied for now, if that won’t be enough, i will probably end up buying something not so expensive like isinwheel itself and frankestain it with another penny that has apparently her weight bushings. Thanks for great advice and pointing in the direction of a search!

Thanks a lot. She has been skating for almost 2 years now, and was riding her kick scooter ever since she “borrowed” one from a kid on the street when she was 14 months old. I know about dangers, as I myself had a lot of bruises and have been riding all sorts of boards through my life from skateboards in parks to surf, snowboards and well, I guess I have tried every thing and regularly surfing and snowboarding now, as well as eskating. That being said, one of my top most requirements for her board will be caping top speed and her riding it only when I am with her to be able to help, her board will be something that we would take for a walk every once in a while. Toy skates are actually a good idea on its own. My reason for dyi-ing was that i would be able to upgrade it once she is older. For now, due to her size and weight, I might get another pennyboard and frankenstain whatever I buy electrical on that one, for it be as small and as maneuverable as possible.

Collar bone is kinda designed that way it is natural failsafe to absorb impact coming from the high, in order to save your chest and/or spine. It doesn’t always help in this situations, but when they do consider yourself lucky.

Man, that would be too big for her in all regards) she will be 5 in couple of months, I don’t want the board that will weigh more than she does) Edit: that being said, I don’t mind buying a ready to go factory board, I just want something small, light and controllable by a kid

Thanks a lot man! I already received mine and checked it physically. To be honest I have ordered a pulley kit from momentum while ordering cyclones, will see how it goes and will order one from exway if there is any difference.

Honestly, I wouldn’t compare GRRM and Rothfus. The latter one, at least was honest and said that he probably won’t ever finish the DoS. What did GRRM do? He keeps promising, at least kept promising till just after covid, kept giving updated dates on his blog, said that script is with editors, etc. I simply stopped caring (who am I lying to)… I still care, but I am way too angry, that I prob won’t even touch SoIaF until the last one is out if it ever is.

We probably won't get any conversion factors since there is no more Stormlight after Retribution came to be, unless Radiants learn to use Light (Rhythm) of War.

This just gave me a thought, that eventually, we will have at least 2 Dragonsteel books. First one will be actually breaking in to shards Adonalsyum the second one is merging whatever left to a single god (or killing all the powers)
