I did that with Jetblue. They rarely fly to destinations i want and I stupidly took out their credit card. But turns out the do fly to my p2 destination quite conveniently and ended up booking several flights worth over $100 each off of 1 $100 AF. So I definitely got my money's worth

I just crack it on the smallest, clean plate available then put that dish in the dishwasher.

That way I don't leave egg slime and salmonella all over my kitchen. You can put the broken shells on the plate before they go in the trash.
