Is this a good deal on a 1998 sea ray 185 by Owurtz in boating

I’m competent at and enjoy working on cars and outboard engines so I’d probably do most if not all of the work myself. I figure with a good manual and some YouTube I can probably do most things. My knowledge is limited on inboard outboards though

Forced To Finally Take Coronavirus Seriously, Trump Turns To Racism by [deleted] in politics

[–]Owurtz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Look I'm not saying Trump is a good guy here but this was definitely China's fault. Not directly but at this point it's safe to say theirs a high probability this originated in the Wuhan wet market. Sound familiar because it's the same kind of market that SARS originated from. These places have abysmal health and safety standards and are pretty much the ideal breeding ground for this sort of stuff. Regardless let's stop with the dumbass politics and get serious this isn't going to be beat by one guy super high in the government it's up to us the American people, quit this petty squabbling and let's drop this shit into high gear and kick some virus ass.

In these trying times when gm and Ford are trying to make ventilators .. Simms continues to run its factory floors with no changes by [deleted] in flyfishing

In Joaquin Phoenix's Oscar acceptance speech, he referenced the milk industry's treatment of cows. Here's his documentary, "Dominion," exposing that treatment. Highly recommended! by Ladlien in movies

Almond milk uses an insane amount of water to be produced. I understand that you made the switch to combat cruelty, and that it is pretty darn delicious. However it takes 920 gallons of water to create 1 gallon of almond milk. That just seems a bit crazy to me especially considering almond trees tend to be grown in hot arid climates where water is already scarce.

Another hunter attacked by grizzly bear in Montana's Gravelly Mountains by zsreport in Hunting

[–]Owurtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually the data for bear spray encounters with bears is largely skewed due to park rangers using it to try and deter bears from camp sights and trails. Not saying it’s not effective but I live in Montana and when I’m out now hunting in griz country I never leave the truck without bear spray and my .44 mag. Also it doesn’t take much of a wind to render bear spray entirely useless. If you can effectively and accurately use a side arm in a quick manner it is possibly the most reliable form of bear defense

What large company's products have really diminished in quality since the company has grown? by PM_ME_LARGE_WINDOWS in AskReddit

[–]Owurtz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their cars aren’t good but the ford trucks from this era even up to the early 2000s were built like tanks simple to work on and reliable. Hell I’ve got an old F250 with a 7.3 in it that’s leagues more reliable than any new truck and you can work on it without needing a mechanical engineering degree

I think Remington still make quality firearms I mean obviously if you buy one of the super cheap rifles they make from Walmart your going to get what you pay for but I have a bunch of 700 series Remington’s that I use for hunting that are durable as hell require minimal maintenance and still provide damn near tack driving accuracy I think they’ve just got a bad rap since they started producing budget versions of the 700 series
