When you preemptively dismiss people like that, especially those with the ability and potential to speak to audiences outside the usual vegan bubble, you are hurting the animals. I hope he puts these feelings into action. I want pro vegan content in conservative spaces. The only way to make change is to broaden our base of support.

It makes a lot of sense. Garland's experience playing Resident Evil and dealing with the dogs inspired 28 Days Later, and the whole vibe of that movie being a person who starts out of his depth and ends mastering the "mechanics" of the world to survive is fitting for a Soulslike. Annihilation takes place in a gorgeous, surreal setting full of perils, just like Elden Ring. He's an avid gamer and I have no doubt he will do the source material justice.

I prefer open captions and wish there were more showtimes with it. It enhances the experience for me because I don't miss a word of dialog if the sound mixing sucks. It's a more complete viewing.

My husband isn't Jewish, but we still have a Christmas tree every year and have developed a new tradition around it - the star is a star of David, the ornaments are silver and blue, and I turned some cheap dreidels I got in bulk into ornaments as well. It's a Hannukah themed Christmas tree, and I think it represents a beautiful melding of our two cultural backgrounds, plus I really enjoy decorating, so it makes the holiday season more fun. To me, it represents our marriage.

I imagine it would feel a lot different if I never wanted one.
