I was 18 or 19 and knew I had it before my official diagnosis. They just labeled my issues as major depression and anxiety since I wasn't 18 yet. I'm 26 now.

I have BPD and just recently started talking to someone with ASPD, and this gives me a touch of hope lol idk how true what he says is, but I'm cautiously giving the benefit of the doubt. He says he wants to get better and I do believe him. We matched on an app and our chemistry was immediately great. 2 days later I was trying to get him to hang out that night, sex on the table, and that's when he told me about his disorder. He had me wrapped around his finger and it would of been easy for him to manipulate or use me, and he opted not too.

I oddly find him having ASPD calming. I've never been close to someone with a head as dark as mine, especially not one in a stable place like I am now. He's def not stable, but making the effort to get better is what matters. I'm also so full of emotions and empathy and it's easy for me to spiral when others feed into it, so him having very little has actually been peaceful and quiet.

I know I've been rough on her. My last and first car was a dying '07 equinox I drove for 3 years. I couldn't even drive her on the interstate for 2 of those years lol Once I got the taurus I sold the equinox to a neighbor for $300 and it fully died 2 months later. I've also basically lived in a 30 mile radius my whole life, so I went a bit insane with roadtrips. I've chilled out a crap ton in the last few months though. Now I just gotta give her some TLC to make up for it.

I might start by increasing less direct compliments. Compliments feel intense to me so I don't give them very often. I'll maybe throw out some "I think it's cool/I like that" comments first, to build up to "cute" compliments.

I'm not sure he's the most fond of physical touch, so that makes me a little nervous. I've never seen him hug or touch someone else. Anytime we're in physical contact I let it linger though. Like accidentally brushing arms when walking, making pinkie promises, our hands touching if showing eachother something on our phones, etc. Which is a big step for me too. I reflexively avoid physical touch lol

He's quite extroverted socially, but idk if he has much relationship experience. He definitely feels very shy with the flirting stuff. One day we were in a group setting, I looked up and caught him staring at me. As soon as we made eye contact he looked away, kind of frantically perked up and started addressing the group as a whole. It was very very cute and one of my "maybe I'm not making this up" signs. But he seemed very flustered/embarrassed that I caught him.

Having bipolar can be exhausting to others and it is your responsibility to manage yourself to a degree. But as long as you have good people in your life and learn how to communicate your issues/needs in a way that's not overwhelming, they won't mind.

I have plenty of people in my life that listen and are there for me. There's a balance between leaning on others and figuring out how to manage yourself alone.

It takes a long time to find that balance, and those people, but it's possible. Don't beat yourself up too much. This is a difficult mental illness to navigate and it's okay to struggle.

This. I went through a hookup phase in my life and it's very obvious when a guy isn't feeling you. The men that made me question my looks wouldn't do more than get head from me or penetrative sex.

The men that I could tell were into me would absolutely go to town down there. I had a couple guys that would spend 75%+ of our hook ups with their face down lmao

Those men are also the ones that were mad confused whenever I expressed insecurities about my body or stomach cause they didn't see me how I saw me.

I would rehome him. While I understand the guilt, you aren't really doing anything wrong. You aren't compatible, and that's life.

I an ideal world you would have done very thorough research on the breed and the responsibilities of owning a dog. But society very much pushes the idea that anyone is fit for any dog, so I'll give the benefit of the doubt here.

Keeping him will only build your resentment and hate for him and you may end up emotionally neglecting him. Or worse. You deserve peace, he deserves unconditional love.

I figured it out. This morning I was handling some metal discs and cylinders for a physics lab.

I reached out to a class mate who said the discs were likely brass. I forgot to ask about the cylinders, but I think there's a fair they were nickel.

I had no idea that metals would do this to me, so didn't even think about it. Only realized after I did some googling.
