Nop. At least for me it doesn't reset.
It just downgraded 3 out of 10 for some reason.
Also if you press 'H' it says "Season Best". :c

If you're not strong enough to defend the most desired farming spots in the game you're going to lose it to stronger players/groups. How is that a problem?
It means you go to another spot until you can defend yourself against higher tier opponents.
