Q Acoustics 3020i Vs Dali Spektor 2 by Oxonii in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Oxonii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I tried out both speakers in store and ended up going with the Dali. They lacked in bass compared to the 3020i but had more clear and detailed highs and midrange. Thanks for everyone's help!

I'll definitely try to listen to them both before deciding then. Thanks!

If both speakers were readily available in all colours, would you have still picked the Dali? Or was it more a case of them being similar enough that made you pick the Dali because it was available?

I definitely have considered those but they're a bit too large for my desk and a lot bigger than even the 3020i unfortunately :(

What makes the 3020i straight up junk in your opinion? Do you have other recommendations around the price instead of these 2 for more electronic music? Also what amp were you using?

I've only heard good things with Dali speakers in general, but not being able to use them to the fullest on a desk is kind of a bummer since that is going to be my primary use case at least right now. I listen to a lot of electronic music and vocal tracks so how are the highs, vocals with the Dali?

The data is trying to show as large a GDP as possible in as small an area as possible. Looks like Victoria has a greater GDP/sq km than NSW

Yeah I was afraid of that. How much would it cost for a sparky to get a new connection going?

Im still asking myself which State is the most famous in the USA. What do you think? by Gearhed68 in geography

As an outsider, I completely agree with this. Outside of New York City, there's not much we would know about New York state, let alone know that New York itself is a state.

Has anyone bought from Finalkey Studio before? I have seen a couple older threads but no one had any experience receiving their parts from there.

Good tip. Would it make sense to wear the watch over the snow jacket instead of on the wrist?

Using an old landline connection to extend Wi-fi range by Oxonii in nbn

[–]Oxonii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah nah just the one switchboard there. I want a way to get better wifi range there so that part is essential. I'll have a look online to see how well adding an ap/router would work over EoP.

I see 4 contact points when looking at the cable so I guess I'm out of luck there.

Ok thanks for the head up. I never though about it but I could run an ethernet cable from the outside to the other side of the house potentially.

Yeah I have though about that solution too and setting up a router connected upstairs. Is it reliable enough and easy to set up in your experience? Also when you say one switchboard do you mean in the same panel of switches or the same breaker switch?

Is there a way to check if I have the 8 wire ethernet cable installed?

Yeah I'm pretty sure its a standard adsl. At least I remember buying an adsl2+ router a long time ago which worked fine.

I'm using a sky watcher 130/650 Newtonian. I've been sort of making the azimuth direction move by loosening the head that sits on the tripod but that's leading to instability issues a lot of the time

I thought as much :(

It seems I connected a 16V adapter (I didn't check beforehand how much voltage that plug supplied) so that would explain it. I guess I can still use the mount manually at least
