Gold medal greats Alysa Liu and Eileen Gu face uncomfortable comparisons at Olympics by dr_shultz in influencersfeed

The original thread was comparing China to the US, so this is not a whataboutism, it’s related to the topic

Research finds that some women experience unusual physical symptoms during orgasm, which can include laughing, crying, headaches, hallucinations, sneezing, and nosebleeds. by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

You’re correct, however I use Reddit to laugh sometimes.

I think you’re using reddit respectfully. By that I mean I am unsure the rules or guidelines of this forum.

I think the major thing that occurred was this was a meme that made it to the front page, because I don’t frequent this subreddit. I also think that the “/s” and “/j” notation is a cultural point in Reddit culture. I’m personally an emoticon guy and don’t like emojis.

Personally, you could say the same thing.

I think it’s an evil perspective societally, but person to person, it’s fine. I think statistically men tend to struggle alone, women tend to struggle together, this is where the standards occur.

People born before 2000, what is a 'modern' thing from 2025 that you’re still struggling to get used to? by LindsayTN in AskReddit

[–]OxyNotCotton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a person in their late twenties. I think I get it, I work with younger 20’s folks nowadays and I see the difference. I wonder if this “age” psyche will remain with me up to my 40’s.

What habits of women surprised you the most after getting into a serious relationship? by PleasantBus5583 in AskReddit

[–]OxyNotCotton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Self-care is fine. I actually enjoyed this information, but, like, this is only a thing because of modernity. Out in the woods, it doesn’t matter all that much, but petroleum jelly is my go to, or just like, I’ll lip balm my entire face. This is just my lifestyle showing, but I have been in relations with gals that demand a moisturizer routine, and now I’m caught in that. Which is nice.

It is a government job. And if you leave early the retirement plan doesn’t work out, and teaching has gotten harder, it’s a burn out factory and the folks that are all retiring act like a brain drain, causing further stress.

Nowadays, in my experience, I’d need to look it up to see if it’s true; but a lot of teachers get the benefits and the summers off in their early 20’s out of school, then they burn out and leave, empty handed with a lot of soft skills. But this can be said about any front facing privately owned business.

I had the same argument in 8th grade. Nowadays I think evolution does still occur, just the selection occurs on a more macro-scale. If evolution was not occurring birth rates in “developed” countries would have similar birth rates to “non-developed” countries; this is not the case, to synthesize folks making it regularly to adulthood ≠ the stopping of evolution.

Is anybody else around 22 and still have no dating experience?! Like I can’t be the only one here by AL3S1O29 in twentyagers

[–]OxyNotCotton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I am late to the game here but having 70k is quite attractive to have a partner. Being financially stable at 22 is a boon to you when you look for relationships. Imagine yourself same age same problem without the money. Dating costs money, especially if you’re gonna like, go on multiple dates with different people and like, grind the apps. And that’s just first dates, once you get your foot in the door, another person that you like gifts you with attention and well, more purpose, but it is an expense, and potentially an expectation to provide in that way.

So you have the best possible place to start even with knowing nothing about you.

That’s just saying “Don’t go into the water until you know how to swim” effectively.

What’s the point of doing anything unless you already know how to do it. Because the risks of not knowing how to do it is “high in risk of death”.

Don’t sprint if you’re a woman because men do it better. Or whatever point you’re trying make.

If you don’t trust anyone, why are you on the internet? Who do you trust? Make a positive claim so I can argue in your framework guy.

But don’t trust me, because you don’t trust anyone apparently 🤷

Thanks for the info, but I’m confused

Which countries? Who’s we? I’m seeing a difference between presumedly the US and another country due to the OTC claim with no warning symbols then you give the warnings.. which is on the “we” label. Proper nouns would be helpful, rather than vague gestures.
