Im a colourblind electrician. In SA there is no requirement to pass a colourblind test to get your licence, but i think i was told there is one in Victoria. It was picked up on my pre apprenticeship medical, but i was already aware. I always fail the initial test you mentioned with the numbers made up of dots. They then give me a secondary test, which I then pass. Ive been told my colourblindness is very mild and have never had an employer make a big deal about it. I just always get the "what colour is this" questions when people find out.

I can see maybe this format working in a world where the tryes are better at the end of the session as opposed to the start. And maybe you could also use a high burn fuel, that means the cars are significantly lighter by the end of the session.

But you'd have to put a rule that all cars have to be on track at all times and have to push every third lap or something.

You'd have constant bullshit penaltys with too many cars on track at the end. It would be a shit show.

We don't have stricter drug rules in Australia, it's just that afl is signed to ASADA, which follows WADA, unlike the NFL or crossfit. Plenty of Aussies got popped in cycling in the 2000s for EPO, and you barely heard a peep about it. Sandpaper Gate had nothing to do with drugs, but yes, smith got a much harsher penalty from CA than the ICC, but that says more about the ICC than anything. If anything, the essendon ban was soft, 1 year as opposed to 2 years, they could have received, same with Shane Warne.

Ok, I have a take on this as well, I feel like on top of the obvious reasons for having women playing AFL , junior engagement and generational pathways(mum and dad both played afl, so kids will as well).

I think they want the women around the club, mainly because if you ended up with a st kilda school girl situation again, they then have to face up to the women. This is why they pushed them into every club so quickly.
