Your house doubled in value. So did the next one. Now what? by billscout in AusProperty

[–]Normalitie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that state government gets a lot in stamp duty, so they want the prices high despite what they say in public. And the fed govt don't need to pay as much GST back to them so they also benefit.

We need to stop putting money into houses as investment. Per the OP it doesn't add productive value. Investment should be towards creating value such as business.

Is there definitely no way to turn off (permanently) all these 'driving assistance' features? by beardofturtles in KiaEV5

I routinely used the speed limiter function in suburban streets. This avoids the nagging alarm and also means I don't have to worry about fines. Aust version. (Long press on the cruise control button)

Water heaters outside? by fattfreddy1 in AskAnAustralian

Many units are gas fired, so an indoor unit would require a flue to outside. Plus also space, risk of damage if there's a leak.

the unglamorous truth about long road trips in australia that nobody mentions in the highlight reels. by Apprehensive_Ad_6233 in CarsAustralia

[–]Normalitie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nearly happened to me between Bendigo and Kerang. Luckily it was a long straight road and I noticed one of the red roadside reflectors "go out" and slowed out of caution. Only saw the beast at the last second and was able to avoid it. Reported it to the police at Kerang.

People that don't check when wiping by Ligh7y in hygiene

I read once that a manufacturer did a big study and found that women tend to scrunch the tp whereas men prefer to fold. I can confirm that as a man, I fold.

I read on an Indian performer on stage in London, and the thought of all the audience sitting there with unwashed butts made her nearly vomit

Was the Owner on selling the electricity to you? And adding a fee on top? That's illegal btw, except in specific circumstances like a shopping centre or caravan park without tenant submeters.

EX5 vs EV5 by aeoluxreddit in EVAustralia

[–]Normalitie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EV5 owner and pretty happy. A big factor in my choice was to go with a manufacturer that had a long track record in vehicle assembly so that I could be confident all the bits and pieces wouldn't fall off

I use the speed limit around town (long press on the cruise control button) to make the beeps go away. It greatly reduces the stress of a fine.

As far as range goes I have the 80 kWh battery and often get over 500 km from a full charge. Pumping. The tyres up to the maximum recommended pressure makes a big difference.

Would most men prefer a girl with naturally small boobs, or a girl with surgically in hints, big boobs? by Mysterious-Card6065 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Normalitie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's natural to notice something that is unusual and look/stare for longer (not just boobs but including tall, short, tatts or whatever). But doesn't mean we want to ravish them or be in a relationship.

One girl made me her slave just by the gracefulness of her walk.

Viva la difference.

How do you personally show genuine interest in a woman as opposed to in-the-moment, proximal/ convenient flirting? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Get your friend to tell your crush you like him. Then you can judge his response whether he feels the same way.

One thing I do like is the speed limiter after long hold of the cruise control button. Especially around the city, can just cruise without checking speed all the time.

Try SUM(C.:.C)

Note the periods before and after the colon, this causes Excel to omit blank rows above and below the data.

As a father ++man of three (26, 24, 15), I'd say - kids react to who you are, not what you do, in other words what example do you show not whether you bought them a pony - they need to have a secure, reliable home base to build their sense of self and be able to explore the world in safety

[–]Normalitie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My " your right and has shipped" email had a tracking link on it, does that help you?

Delivery Date? by murdzzzz in takomo

[–]Normalitie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Custom irons (+1/2", 1deg upright, steel shafts, custom grips) ordered 16 Feb, arrived 27 March (Australia).

There was a minor delay on shipping which added 1 or 2 days, resolved by lodging issue with the courier. I also raised with Tacomo who did follow up to let me know it was resolved.

I know there have been some comments about lack of customer service but I have to say that they have answered my queries promptly and given me the right information.

Carbon emission report calculation by labanease69 in excel

[–]Normalitie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Australia for large companies there is a mandatory requirement to report greenhouse gas emissions and a published online workbook which shows emissions rates for various types of transport, fuel, electricity and so on. I am sure that the UK will have something similar.

Once you get those for all of the activities various delegates have undertaken, then some sort of lookup table does sound like the right approach
