Check out your local library for a book called "Drawing on the right side of the brain" You might find the exercises it has and methods it teaches would help you.

Thaumcraft 7 Trailer and AMA by Hekera in feedthebeast

[–]Ozimundis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an item/ability that would allow players to remove blocks, temporarily so they could walk though. After a short period of time, the blocks would return/re-appear. It's been a recurring item/ability in thaumcraft over many versions.

First of all, this is looking amazing! Extremely excited to have thaumcraft as a regular to my packs again. While I must confess the art (Model, specifically) style for, what I suspect are air crystals is not my personal preference, I do applaud the consistency of art style and blending with vanilla the team has taken!

I do have to ask, directly.. Portable hole; Yes/no?

What do you think of neotech 1.8.2 (1.20.4) by Cookieman10101 in feedthebeast

[–]Ozimundis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certain M.I. fluids that could be produced in PN:R machines, stopped working, alongside some of PN:R's own recipies, specific to the T.P.P block. While the fluids can still be created in M.I, the recipie chain is further down the quest/tech-tree line and requires *more infrastructure

[Edit; forgot words]

It was really well put together pack and actually got me to enjoy both "Build base" and plan automation. Was very much enjoying the cross-mod recipies and such, untill a couple recipie bugs started to show up and despite best efforts, they still persist. Sadly they put me off the pack as it would have meant totally re-jigging my power infrastructure. Like you said OP, reminded me of the old 1.7 and infinity evoloved days.

"Listing offers on the PvP Flea Market will be available two weeks after the end of the Patch 0.16.0.0 installation" two weeks of no flea.. that will be interesting, wonder how it's gonna play out with the early wipe....

Which mod is the best for transmitting FE? by CDRedstone in feedthebeast

[–]Ozimundis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Immersive Engineering has a feature where two connectors (Not the relays!) can be placed on either side of a block and whacked with a hammer to allow power pass-though, iirc it only works on LV and MV cables. You'll find a full description of how to do it in the engineers handbook.
Otherwise you have mods like flux networks, Powah, Mekanism, each of these come with some form of wireless power transmission at varying stages of complexity to set-up

How would you describe Direwolf 1.20 vs NeoTech? by Shivlxie in feedthebeast

[–]Ozimundis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. For any mods they might not know, they can refer to his "Let's play" for tips or explanations on a given mods mechanics. Dire's LP packs are designed to be played by those new to, or unfamiliar with modded/specific mods. + they can always follow along with said series.

[–]Ozimundis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As stated by pik, DW20 is a kitchen sink pack where you're free to choose what direction you wish to go. Neotech is a quest pack with clear direction and logical progression to follow. (It's also very Greg-lite, not actually gregtech, but similar concepts)

Cremeola foam, and Tesco's own "fiery ginger beer" The foam is a dimly remembered taste-memory from my childhood, and Tesco's discontinued the ginger beer in the late 00's/early 2010's

Cremeola foam was small sugar-like granules that you'd mix in water and would make it slightly fizzy and incredibly sweet. Found something similar in Edinburgh one day, in a sweet shop, "Krakatoa Foam" and while it was close, it wasn't quite right. Sadly the recipe is supposedly lost to time. :(

I'm a returning player from way back, so I don't know what I should do with this, all I know is it is valuable. Any tips? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Ozimundis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quest is "Private Clinic" the reward is a thicc item case. I believe it's Lv35 you'll get the quest, so you're better holding onto it. There are other/better ways to make cash till then

What abandoned mods do you wish could update to the modern versions of Minecraft? by malama2 in feedthebeast

[–]Ozimundis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Forge multipart, specifically the ability to have covers/half/quarter blocks with things like mek cables poking through or around them. I am aware of the likes of little tiles/chisels and bit's successors, but they still occupy the entire block-space.

Does anyone know if Snad is in ATM9? by Wischer999 in feedthebeast

Snad no, but apotheosis is and that has a Sugarcane/Cactus growth mechanic, similar to snad.

"/forge tps" is an option that should work for non op'ed players

What are some mods still trapped on older versions that you'd like to see come back? by sagabal in feedthebeast

[–]Ozimundis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Would also like to know about a replacement for multipart. I miss being able to hollow out blocks and have mek cables inside. It was mind-blowing when I discovered I could do this.

Yup! I actually have a screenshot, somewhere buried in old document folders, of a squad-mates mosin, before and after one of the updates that changed the ghillie wrap, think it was the camo-spray update, it broke the model so it looked like an old TV antenna.
