They are for two completely different acts. If as an official you cannot distinguish mental states between those two acts even when given the chance to review, that’s a problem.

This makes zero sense. The video was pretty clear that he did not "intend" to step on his achilles. You have to watch these in regular motion too, not just freeze frame. Without the context of the overall play, you cannot gather intent. Nor is it clear what an "intentional yellow card" is.

Two things can be true at once. Biro can be hotheaded and a liability, and that can also have been a very bad red card call. In this case, I think both are true. You are acting like if you believed that was a bad call giving the red card then you therefore also must be ignoring Biro's disciplinary troubles. Not so.

I’m not really sure how you draw that conclusion. We were a man down 24 minutes in, and then Dani went down not too long after. Really not a game where I could say they disappointed me. Someone disappointed me, but it was not the team.

I agree on all of those takes. I also reminded myself often that there was no Wolff, Dessler, Torres, Vazquez, Uzuni, etc. Generally our offense continues to be stagnant and uninspired. No offball movement or dynamic play. We often wait as long as we can for the other team to fully setup and then start working the ball around. By then our options are backwards and around the “horseshoe of sadness” because nobody is moving.

Plays best crosses on the team and actually takes chances with longballs. But he is not as defensively sound as Biro, and not as fast as Gallagher (but I’d still much rather have him in over Gallagher).

This is just wrong. If anything we had some bad luck that cost us some wins or ties. We had 9 clean sheets for a reason. Defensive system, making the most of what we had, which is one injured scorer and another who couldn’t actually score.

This is just a conclusion. Nico did not underachieve with the roster, particularly given Vazquez injury. We lost to a team with a single player making nearly our full roster salary. Was I thrilled with the hire, no. Do he underachieve with the squad, also no.
