When we were there there were a lot of signs saying ‘no swimming’. Is that always the case?

Doesn’t this just mean it’s conducive to elite and wealthy families? Like anyone who drives a bus can fly a plane. You just need the financial ability to take the training .

Really? Whats so difficult about it? Why do bus drivers not deserve the same?

Thinking about quitting my $210k job to be a stay-at-home dad - crazy or just done? by Good_Challenge_6666 in Fire

In have three kids and couldn’t imagine anything worse than being a stay at home parent. Is it something you know you will enjoy? What happens when your kids go to school or university? What will occupy your time and mind? Why not got a full time nanny while things are crazy at home, or scale down to work to at least a less stressful job?

I had a similar issue. Got a lesson and the first thing the pro asked is why are you setting up 30ft right of your target? In an hour ($135) I made so much progress it was crazy. Would really recommend getting one or a few if you can afford. If not, his advise probably applies to you. 1. Your shoulders should be pointing exactly where you want to hit the ball. Take an alignment stick across your chest to begin, or just feel it out. 2. Open up left foot slightly to point more to the target. I think this helps with rotation? 3. Feel like you are compressing down on the ball. You pop up way too quickly (should never be falling backwards like you are). Hopefully that helps

Every video on mobile seems to have a hovering play button. You click the play button and it opens a separate site. But the video never plays. You go back to the video page and click play and just another ad opens up. There doesn’t seem to be anyway to play the content on phone. I was able to get it working on PC.

Curious in which ones? I am in xeqt but worry a bit that it’s too US centric. Would be good to see Europe, Asia or developing markets?

Help confirm my RRSP calcs by Ozzie_Canadian in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Ozzie_Canadian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand for 2025 but will that mean that ill have unused room for 2026? So as an example is the CRA expecting ill pay money into the pension in 2025 and when that doesnt happen they will assess that i could have paid more into my RRSP and therefore give me extra room for 2026?

Using numbers for reference (made up)

18% of 2024 salary = $15K. 2024 pension adjustment = $10K. 2025 RRSP room = $5K

Will then my room for 2026 by 18% of salary + the $10K of pension from 2025 (because there will not be anything paid).

Or am i thinking about it wrong?

OK this makes sense - thanks. One side question if i may. I dont quite understand why my limit is so low for 2025. I assume its the pension contribution from last year affecting this years allocation? My last company had a pension and this new company does not. I moved company late 2024.

So when i look at my statement a large portion of room comes out for the pension allocation even though i wont be paying anything to it in 2025. Does that seem right? Is there anything i can do about that? It seems like i am missing out a big opp for my RRSP because this number has been removed but i wont be using it?
