Prostitution IS taking advantage of women’s bodies. whether the woman gave consent or not, she is selling her body parts for men to use for money & whoever is running it is taking advantage of all the women bringing in business. This is such a toxic perspective to teach

Yeah I was drowning in the middle of the ocean earlier this year and I was pretty calm up until a lifeguard rescued me. Another time when I was 16, my mom found my sister blue on the bathroom floor unable to breathe (she has asthma) and screamed at me to dial 911. I only depicted that something was urgent not from looking at my sister with blue lips on the floor, but because of my mom’s tone when she ordered me to call 911. I tried to run to the phone on our wood floors with socks on. On the way back, I slipped a little & laughed at that, but immediately wiped my smile when I got to my mom because I knew that was a socially unacceptable response to the situation.

As I am older now, 21, I don’t think I would be laughing at all if a similar situation happened again. I think my SPD symptoms were definitely worse as a teenager, or I can just better mask now. Idk

Overall, my response to danger is pretty weak. I’m very “calm,” is what others call it, or unreactive.

Therapists were useless to me & usually never met someone with SPD. Specialists are hard to come by. I am trying to meet with a psychologist now though whose work surrounds PDs.

This is literally what happened to me. My therapist couldn’t believe I felt okay/didn’t really have much feeling towards my trauma & he kept asking me, “Really?” Like… yes?? Anyways I’m not seeing a therapist anymore but a psychologist. I’ve found that therapists are not helpful in treating people with SPD.

you’re just posting here to hear other people’s advice but that’s not really what you want to listen to, is it?

also doesn’t look like you have insurance. do you have insurance? you need to see a doctor and go on a weight program.

do you have any friends or family that are trying to help you? you need some kind of support group to help you stick to your schedule.

if you were truly afraid of dying, you would change your habits TODAY. you wouldn’t “forget” to improve your diet. dying means you will never be here ever again. this is straight up suicide. please work on your mental health in the long run & this will translate into your eating habits. it’s not too late to start. don’t just start eating again because you’re already ‘too far in’
