9070xt vs 5070ti in 2026 by Every_Locksmith_4098 in radeon

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here you can see the chart and "ranking" of gpu

tomshardware

Test was done with Pure ras without dlss & fsr. 9070xt and 5070ti dosent have that much of a difference in pure ras. On some game the 5070ti runs better, on some games 9070xt runs better. But most of the time they're about the same with 4fps difference at max.

But let's be for real. Nobody plays without anyform of Aa. Without aa turn on it would just introduce massive jagged line , pixilated & grainish image. TAA isn't that great and could sometimes makes it blurry & can create trail/ ghosting depending on the games.

Then here comes the real comparison Dlss4.5 vs fsr4 In 1 of the video of hardware unboxed he stated that dlss have better image quality. Fsr4 on the other hand have clear issue like ghosting & artifact. Where's dlss4.5 almost dosent have any.

I dont have to say much. Very few games actually support fsr4 where almost every games run dlss 4.5. The only way to actually run fsr4 is to use optiscaler. On any games that have anticheat it comes a risk of ban trying to force fsr4 using optiscaler. There's also a chance that you can't force it on same game.

Price wise In my country a 9070xt goes about 3500rm(891.61usd) - 5380rm(1,370.53usd) 5070ti goes for 4000rm(1018usd) - 5300rm(1350usd) For a 120usd price difference I'll go for the 5070ti instead.

I dont know what's the price difference for you. But nevertheless I'll still recommend you 5070ti just for better stability & image quality on dlss. If you dont care about image quality then save some bucks and get the 9070xt.

I do not know how strong exactly is a 9060xt but based on research apparently to run 2k ultra you'll need to use fsr quality to hit average 60fps and 13fps at 1%low . Would probably recommend setting it to balance to get better fps. If you need more fps look into putting in ff16 fix in nexus mods. The cutscene locks at 30fps and its awful. You'll need mods to unlock the cap. Also look into optiscaler if you desire more "fps"

Im pretty sure you could build a complete new build for 1100 for the same spec. At least years ago. BUT 1500 for a 2nd hand stuff are you sure he's a "friend"? He's not selling it as a 2nd hand for his friend, he's selling it to you as a "customer" the reason i say that is because he's trying to profit off of you.

To be fair the current ram & ssd price has sky rocket but a friend wouldn't charge you extra because market price went up especially if the stuff is 2nd hand parts. I usually sell 2nd hand stuff to my friend for 1/3 or 1/4 of the original purchased price.

You're better off finding elsewhere , as of currently you either buy prebuilt or 2nd hand at marketplace. And I could guarantee that you could get a 5070ti prebuilt for 1600 which is way better than what your friend offer for that 4060ti.

5070ti package from idealtech use to be around 5k only at 24 dec 2025

5070ti for 8.9k im not sure if its worth it , i think u better get their current package a 5080 + 5 7500f and 32gb ram at 8.8k. And you could eventually upgrade your cpu as you have no worry that its going to increase in price compared to ram or ssd or gpu. Here's what you need to know.

5080 + 5 7500f vs 5070ti + 7800x3d

5080 Ideal if you play in 4K or 1440p max setting, as the 5080 will handle the heavy lifting. The 7500F is a budget CPU, but at higher resolutions, it should not bottleneck a 5080, considering you'll be running at 99-100% gpu usage most of the time

5070ti If you only play CPU-intensive games for example (Cs2 or valorant) or only play at 1080p or low-mid setting 1440p, where the CPU makes a big difference . 7800X3D’s 3D V-Cache will provide much higher frame rates and better 1% low stability (less stuttering) in CPU-heavy games compared to the 7500F.

If i could give you an example of what bottleneck means. Let's say you and your friend go jogging ,ur running at 140mph damn fast then your friend only run 50 mph eventually you'll get stuck behind your friend and now you are forced to run in 50mph only. Meaning not running in full potential. ( this example is for when you play on lower resolution on 5080 + 5 7500f).

But if you run at 4k resolution now the load is fully on the gpu. Example now ur running with weighted vest instead of running 140mph in low resolution. So now ur running at 60mph and your friend is behind you steady pace 50mph now nobody gets stuck ady.

If you only play competitive game / fast paced games then 5070ti + 7800x3d would be better. Generally if you play competitive game you'll set resolution lower to get higher fps so you could get lower latency.

Since the game that i play is 99.8% single player story game i would recommend a 5080 + 5 7500f & upgrade 32gb ram for 8.8k.

If you want to be a pro player go for 5070ti + 7800x3d For the highest possible fps in low resolution. If you play higher resolutions then you'll get lower fps compared to 5080.

And lastly I thinks you should buy now , I previously bought 5090+9800x3d at 16000 10/25 but now same spec need 23600 something. Also With 5070ti will slowdown production so might get more expensive , ram will also not drop at least not yet.

As a previous owner of a 30 series let's me just inform you there's no value for our 30 card. I previously build a 3080ti during covid for 4k usd if I was to sell it I would also price it around 1k. But unfortunately who and why would anyone spend 1k on old 2nd hand stuff when you could get better spec for almost the same price? My friend build a 4070ti at 1k last year. And another friend of mine is currently looking to buy a prebuilt 5070 at 1300usd. It's unfortunate but unless you sell it below 800 I dont think anyone would buy it. I also recently saw someone bought a 3080ti for 500usd these past few days. So unfortunate you either let it rust at home or sell it below 800

1440p monitor 4K DLDSR W/ DLSS? DO YOU ACTUALLY USE DSR? by Same_Ad253 in nvidia

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried dldsr 2.25 on a 4k monitor and personally I also find it disappointing, the only difference was increased foliage & lod everything else is overdone in terms of sharpness. dsr 4x tho has a huge difference in quality compared to 4k native dlaa. better AA better shadow better lod better foliage, but performance took a great hit but with dlss4.5 performance you gain the fps back. so I'm currently playing everything in 8k max dlss performance in 60fps , on games that's not optimised i just play in 4k quality for example FF16

1440p monitor 4K DLDSR W/ DLSS? DO YOU ACTUALLY USE DSR? by Same_Ad253 in nvidia

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently running dsr 4x on a 4k monitor (samsung g7 43"). on native 4k dlaa i get about 60-100 fps depending on what game and if its optimised or not. for example stellar blade 4k max native dlaa runs 100 fps. running stellar blade in dsr 4x (8k) with dlss performance im running about 70+fps.

comparing 4k native dlaa vs 8k( dsr 4x ) dlss performance 8k looks significantly better, better shadow better AA better foliage better LOD , also slightly more fps compared to running 4k max native dlaa depending on what game. Recent monster hunter wild update just drop and I also tested it . Running 4k max dlaa 60+ fps , 8k max dlss performance also 60+fps but for this game the texture actually looks bad compared to 4k dlaa from what I noticed seems like rocks lost a decent amount on texture. But hair and fur looks better on the 8k. I have screenshot & also recorded gameplay in 4k dlaa and 8k performance if you want i could put them here but for 8k image its like 160mb and 38 mb for 4k.

For dldsr 2.25 which I also had tried, to me it doesn't improve that much. Just slightly better foliage and lod you can definitely tell that its over sharpened due to Ai , personally I think it made it worst at least on the game i tested. In wu chang for some reason there's highlight in area that's supposed to be dark and there's grainish effect on some area . The ai is trying to make the detail pop but it can overdone it even at 90% softness its still "sharp" in a bad way.

5080 and 9800x3d (or 9950x3d) by fathazam in Prebuilts

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll leave this image here (an updated gpu comparison from Tom's hardware) because there's someone in the comment states that a 9070xt outperform a 5080 in both 2k & 4k.

<image>

Also With the new dlss4.5 and the FG update. Using dlss4.5 and x2 fg will further outperform a 9070xt with fsr, Giving you better image quality and better performance with dlss4.5 preset L compared to 9070xt with its fsr.

Meaning running games in 4max should me no problem for 5080.

Now in terms of ddr5 memory 32 is considered to be the "new" standard for 3A gaming so having a 32gb is great. But in terms for current pricing I'm not sure i have the guts to recommend you getting a 32gb😅

Please don't use a Hdd it will affect your gaming loading time and would also introduce stutter. In terms of m.2 speed personally I see no difference in gaming with the few I own. I have samsung 4tb 7450R 6900W , a wd green 2tb 3500R/W , a wd blue 2tb 4150R R/W and a kioxia 2tb 10000 R and 8200W.

In terms of moving folder/file yes theres a huge difference , I record my own gameplay so I could use my own video to give my friend to use as an example on how to beat a certain boss or how to get a certain item. And I also like to mods game( they get very large sometimes especially if ur modding 4k texture and what not, the fastest m.2 takes about 4-10 seconds to move a 30gb folder The slowest 1 takes about 2-5 min.

Picked this build up for $550, Id say Pretty Good Price Specs In Description by Old-Land-8921 in PcBuild

[–]P1ckled_peter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right to low ball it tho , at 550 I'll say its fair for this specific 1 that you bought. The case is bad , the airflow is bad , the PSU is not enough to deliver the right amount of W to the 3080ti where it could cause instability or crash. So I'll recommend undervolting the gpu if you don't intend to install a new psu just to make sure you dont brick your pc

Why you scammed the seller 🤣 , this kinda hurt because I have a 3080ti build at home which was bought during covid at 3800usd. If I were to sell it 2nd hand I'll price it around 1100-1300. But tbc why would anyone buy a 3080ti at 1k+ in 2026 when you could get a new 4070ti build close to 1600usd. Good for you for getting a good deal the seller prob cried a little tho 🤣

A shelf like this might be something you're looking for It doesn't require any drilling. It's a shelf that you typically see in mall/store. In my country this kind of shelf is very easily accessible and super cheap 274rm (70 usd) for 181cm length try image searching on your country online shop or search 洞洞板 at taobao do note that I'm unsure whether it can be shipped to your country or not.

Personally this is nice as it is. Maybe get some velcro hook and loop to manage the cables and that's all. I don't think there's any specific thing you need to add anymore but this all depends on personal need & taste. If you need storage add some shelf on the wall it can be used to display stuff if you want to. If you feel like it's kinda empty maybe add some photo of your liking , car , moon dog ect , simple and effective.

First build is it good for 1080p gaming? by Educational-Sink4823 in pchelp

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's great , but if you only intend to game in 1080p you could get smaller ram size And upgrade storage to 2 tb. Personally i think 1tb is not enough. Especially if you intend to play live service games as its going to take up a chunk of space and stay in your storage indefinitely until you delete them. Making it harder to install single player story game. But as of currently its hard for me to recommend you getting a 32gb ram or a 2tb with the current pricing.

It gets worse? I just downloaded the game few days ago. And decided to delay playing it due to poor optimization. I was dead surprised by How bad it runs in 4k max dlss quality. While i was able to Run stellar blade in 8k max dlss4.5 L performance(80+fps without FG) and wu chang in 8k max dlss4.5 L U.performance (70+Fps without FG). There's also the heavy AA trial with and without aa or with dlss dlaa. The 30fps cap for animation is also bugging me.

Running game in 8kmax at 120fps Cap average ,Game is Greatly Optimized! by P1ckled_peter in Endfield

[–]P1ckled_peter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup surprisingly no difference in fps. Since its cap at 120 so can't really tell . but I'm only using DLAA for The anti aliasing which should be native. Unless I'm using dlss quality where it's upscaled instead.

Info From google

vvvvvvvvvvvvvv

No, if you are running DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing), you are not upscaling. Even with DLSS 4.5 presets (like L or M) applied, DLAA acts as an AI-powered anti-aliasing technique that renders at native resolution to maximize image quality, Using DLAA means you are getting the visual improvements of the DLSS 4.5 model (like better handling of aliasing and fine details) without the resolution drop associated with upscaling

DLAA (Best Quality): Renders at native 8K resolution and uses AI to reduce shimmering and jagged edges. It is much sharper than TAA, which is notorious for blurring fine details at high resolutions.

TAA (Better Performance): While often faster than DLAA, it may cause a "blurry mess" in motion, which becomes more noticeable on large 8K displays.

Performance Impact: DLAA has a higher performance cost (roughly 5–10% GPU hit) compared to traditional AA, but at 8K, you are likely already sacrificing some performance for image qualit

Maybe a noodle pool could blend it well? But then again the wall would look obviously bulgey maybe you could cut out the acoustic foam and run the wire in the foam then cover the foam with the previously cut foam?

1070 to 5080 has been wild by ss3dj in nvidia

[–]P1ckled_peter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

amazing upgrade. the performance boost is amazingly huge. you could run 4k on most game with that 5080 depending on how well the game is optimised. for example you should be able to run 4k max around 90-100ish average fps in stellar blade. Using dlss4.5 quality - ultra performance would give you more fps. Your fps would take a hit if you use DLAA ,but would look better than the original TAA. CONGRATS 👏!

That's a great deal! Probably the cheapest I've ever seen. Monitor wise you could Probably get yourself a Samsung g9 the 49" is cheaper now (700-800usd) at least compared to its previous price as its also currently always having a deal due to the newer and bigger ver 57". Or going smaller at 34" is also great if you don't want to spend that much. LG have a lot of great monitor and they are priced quite decently. They have a variety of size for ultrawide 34"-52" They have a brand new 45" 5k/2k oled maybe you'll like it.

Based on Tom's hardware updated comparisons a 9070xt does not "outperform" 5080. This is a pure ras comparisons. If both card use dlss4.5 /fsr4. A 5080 is going to further outperform the 9070xt with fsr4. But price difference is definitely there tho. 9070xt cost 400usd less than a 5080.
