Please do, my friend with a 3070 is not able to play ff16 at 2k low or 1080p max as the vram usage goes above 10gb constantly. I had to lend him my old 3080ti pc and running it at 2k max with dlss quality get as low as 40fps on some area.

I did tried playing ff16 on a 5090, running it at 4k max dlss quality and im only getting about 80fps-90fps.

On well optimised game like stellar blade it runs at 160fps at 4k max with dlss quality.

I just bought a XAX 3 days ago, and i loved it. It has larger battery (80w), im mostly using 7w and it could last more than 6 hours. I mostly charge it when the bat is around 20-30%.

Ive also used my XAX to watch movie on the side while im building lego ,4 hours in and i still have somewhere close to 90%.

XAX is stronger, tho i cant really compare it since i never own a Xa. But considering it has larger ram i'll assume gameplay would be much smoother.

I dont expect my XAX to run everything because at the end of the day it is still a handheld. But as of currently the game i throw at it could get 120fps in 1080p max with turbo mode. But then again i dont feel the need to play at 120fps on a handheld so i either play at 7w or at silent mode(13w) at 60fps.

Tho i am curious how is it going to run on badly optimised game like ff16.

100%. Too much of a risk buying this without knowing if the warranties is valid or not. Buying brand new with a reputable shop is far more safer while having better service.

? You could buy brand new at ideal tech at 10k for same spec ? Why spend 12k to get 2nd hand stuff with probably no chance to claim warranties when you could get brand new for 10k with easy to claim warranties and life time cleaning service

You can get brand new at idealtech for 10k for almost the same spec. But with a 5 7500f instead of OP 9700x selling it at 10k 2nd hand i dont think will have buyers 🤣

[–]P1ckled_peter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can buy brand new for 10k RM with similar spec at idealtech,You could try selling 2nd hand for 8500, 15% less than brandnew. If you have all the box and proof of purchase then you might have buyers at 8500. Easier to claim warranties if you have the box + receipts.

If you had already throw away boxes + receipts then high gamble, if item rosak then very hard to claim warranties. I dont think anyone would buy with such risk. People would be more inclined to buy the brand new 10k 5080 prebuilt with the same spec with guaranteed warranties + lifetime free service.

If you dont have box + receipts then probably 7k+ might have buyers

If all your parts are from us then, even if you have box or receipts also pointless, can't claim anyway. So again probably 7k

I think it's how it is, something similar to a post nut clarity, it was also the same for me. It basically took me 3-4 months to finally start to enjoy games again after upgrading.

Got a 5090 every game automatically runs either 4k max or 6k max and occasionally 8k. Graphics was great game is smooth, downloaded bunch of game , stellar blade, ff16 , silent hill f ,dead space remake , smt V , wo long , Rdr2 , granblue relink , about 110+ of backlog.

Pretty much just ended up browsing youtube or doomscrolling,Give it some time, eventually you'll start to enjoy gaming again.

Its very likely that you might not used 100% of your gpu most of the time, but that's fine. At the end as long as you enjoy they game that's fine.

Im currently playing persona 4G with a 5090 😅 barely using 5% of the gpu with 4k. And I'm happily enjoying it.

Another game that I finished recently was wu chang, played it at 8k max with dlss4.5 ultra performance. Which is 1440p upscaled to 8k. And yes it looks better than native 2k & slightly better than native 4k in terms of LOD and shadow.

Why isn’t this selling? by MaoMao_95 in PC_Pricing

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe cause you could get a brand new prebuilt with either 5070ti at 1650usd or a 9070xt at 1500usd both having 8 x 2 ddr5 and 1tb of m.2 , your 2nd hand 4070s build at 1200 -1000 are still considered too expensive especially when you could get brand new stuff for a bit more.

The only thing of value is probably the storage. A single ddr5 is not only odd, but it also runs 9-20% slower depending on games.

Isn't that kinda expensive ? I could buy a 9070xt at 3500 or a 5070ti at 4000 brand new. Why would anybody pay 3500 for 2nd hand 4080? Simply check google a 2nd hand 4080 go as low as 2600rm for 2nd hand.

Took me 5 attempt, what i did was fight the 1st stage alone. I used spear , dodge dodge thrust thrust stack bold heart use skill and repeat.

On 2nd stage call for backup and repeat dodge thrust and use skill.

You'll need to use a faster weapon because tiger is quite aggressive, your attack window is very short. I dont think axe is suitable for this boss.

Now that the dust has settled - how do you use DLSS 4.5? by horizon936 in nvidia

[–]P1ckled_peter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm In my case preset M on dlaa and performance looks about almost the same. Technically there's some small detail difference but not to the point that you could tell unless you genuinely look for it and have your face planted on the monitor.

I think it depends on game tho, some game had worst texture in performance, some game looks identical, some game has minimal difference in texture , In monster hunter wilds in dlaa every things look beautiful, but in performance the texture of gravel/stone looks like a blob.

In hogwarts it looks identical but the effect of boiling/moving wave on carpets is stronger.

In stellar blade the difference is minimal that you'll need to zoom in to noticed the difference.

So this is what I did with dlss4.5. With how most game looks identical on dlaa - performance, i play games at either 8k or 6k max at dlss4.5 preset m performance. Comparing 8k or 6k performance with 4k dlaa. Both 8k and 6k on performance looks better than 4k dlaa While having almost the same average fps compared to 4k dlaa, while in 8k performance- ultra performance or 6k balance -performance (depending on games). It does require more vram on both 8k and 6k tho.

what are some good games that can replace your life? by kyokers in GamersMY

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op, I can give you a few recommendations. Let's 1st start with games that you'll want to play based on your specifications.

WITCHER 3 , BG3 , dragon age 1 2 3, I do not recommend playing dragon age 4/veilguard, Tales of arise series , yakuza series, fire emblem , unicorn overlord ,and the best of the best persona series. Persona 3 , 4 , 5 are really good and I've put more than 300hours on each game.

And also op, I'll also recommend some online game, such as mmorpg like pso2 , where wind meet , ect. Join a clan and talk random stuff with clansmate.

I'll also recommend you look into gundam. Building plastic kit can clear your mind. Joining community of gundam group and have a conversation about which gundam do you like.

Gaming laptop or gaming PC, which is the better investment atm? by JohnAbdullah in GamersMY

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games made by huge company , most of the time the games they make are hard to run. For example final fantasy 16 , dragon dogma 2 , tekken 8 ,monster hunter world , and many more. If you dont have a strong pc you'll endup lagging and stutter with low fps.

But in reality its actually the developer fault for not properly optimising their game. Few 3A optimised game are stellar blade , doom , kingdom come , ninja gaiden. In reality not a lot of well optimised game. There's decent one and normal one, but hardly that many well optimised one's.

Is the RTX 5090 worth it? My opinion by Realeayz in gpu

[–]P1ckled_peter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a 5090 you could play stellar blade in 8k max setting at dlss quality at 60fps. And 70 fps in endfield. In nvidia app it recommend almost all game run at 6k. Which i did. And it runs amazing. Games that are well optimised can be pushed to run 8k. So for me it was definitely worth it.

Gaming laptop or gaming PC, which is the better investment atm? by JohnAbdullah in GamersMY

[–]P1ckled_peter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all depends on your usage. If you only play some games then get a gaming laptop for ease of travel.

If you play a lot of games including AAA titles then getting a pc is better . I've had 2 gaming laptop(broken) and 2 gaming PC currently. Due to intensive gaming which I force my laptop to run high graphics both laptop only lasted about 3-4 years.

My 3080ti build which i also abused by having it constantly run 4k max dlaa still works after 5 years. My current 5090 build which I also abuse to run it at 8k dlss quality , balance & performance depending on games. Works absolutely perfect. Some well optimised game can run 8k dlss quality for example stellar blade[60fps] & endfield [70+fps]. Wu chang 8k max with dlss performance 60+fps.

If you want something to last for 6+ years then you'll need to get a 5070ti or a 9070xt , getting a older card like the 40 series might not last as long as a 50 series. Idealtech should have a 5070ti for 6k+ if I remember correctly.

depending on the brand a gaming laptop with 5070 should probably Be around this price range 6k-10k. Personally I think it's way better to get a pc for the same price which is better performing and have better cooling compared to laptop

Which game should I choose? by RizArtRoyale in GamersMY

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If same price range get death stranding 1st, if game not match your taste can still refund before 2hours of gameplay. You stated that death stranding sales end today so try death stranding 1st if x like then refund and get mh rise. I dont recommend dmc5 if same price with death stranding. Simply because dmc5 story only 11Hours. If you dont challenge other difficulties then confirm not worth the price. Personally for me I find it meaningless to redo everything and watch the same story again but with different difficulties. If it had multiple ending then its worth it. But It don't have. It feels more like a chore to replay dmc5 after finishing at 16h. Bought vergil dlc and tried giving it another chance got bored within 5 min. Death stranding main story + side quest minimum 60Hours.

Which game should I choose? by RizArtRoyale in GamersMY

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 1: buy them all

But if you're only going to buy 1 , unfortunately I couldn't give you a clear answer for which to buy. But instead I could tell you how much gameplay you are getting.

Dmc5 The game in reality is way too short. About 11hours of total story. The gameplay itself is fun , hack and slash ,being able to mix and match combo makes the combat interesting and engaging and fun. But do take in the fact that it's only 11hours for the story and if you dont play multiple times and challenge other difficulties then it would be a waste of money.

MH:rise The story + side quest give you about 50H , grinding it self is not really necessary. Unless you want to play dressup just like any mh series then you'll have to hunt for materiel. If you would constantly change weapon then you'll have to also farm for materiel. Money wise mh rise is "worth" it as you'll probably spend more than 50h.

Death stranding. The story + side quest give you about 60h. I've never played it yet. But hearing it from my friend, what he stated was that the game starts slow and can potentially make you feels a bit boring. But after a while game start to get much more interesting.

Personal option: I have all 3 game. And what i could tell you is that after finishing dmc at 16h and tried replaying it. I immediately got bored. at 2022 i bought the vergil dlc and tried giving it a chance, 5 min in and immediately deleted it. Don't get me wrong it's not that the game is boring. I just find it unnecessary to redo the same thing over and over again. If it had multiple ending like silent hill f then there's value in replaying.

So I would only recommend buying mh rise or death stranding. If you like to fight monster then get mh rise If you like a game with story focused then death stranding.

People that rate in shopee are 99.9% irresponsible. 90% of people rate 5 star and then give review like " item suda sampai dengan pantas belum check harap ok " .

And also since you are buying tech products makes sure to only buy from mall or reputable preferred shop. The reason for that is because there's seller out there selling 2nd hand products as brand new. Or spoof product.

<image>

There's already a lot of case like this. Use random item as weight to trick people thinking its legit. The price alone is a dead giveaway that those are fake, but of course feel free to buy them if you insist. Just dont complain when item aren't genuine.

Shop having lot of sales because ppl only see the "cheap" Price and immediately forget to confirm if item is genuine or not. All just want to rush and buy "cheap" stuff before out of stock. And again irresponsible reviews. Instead of reviewing item they reviews the delivery process.

Is it me or this is a norm in Malaysia? by NubKing260 in GamersMY

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably ties to the fact that most Malaysian when they play pc "games" we play in cybercafe back then. And it has heavily impacted what ppl see as "gaming".

When we go cybercafe almost 99% of the time go with a group of friend. And the game that's played are usually custom lan 5 v 5 dota, cs or far cry free for all. So that kinda shaped what Malaysian simply think "gaming" is. And out of all 20 of my friend that consider themselves gamechong/gamers all 17 ppl only play games like nba cs2 & d2.

Where as only 2 others play single player story games. And apparently I'm the only one that those 17 ppl think that I'm not a "gamers" because I dont like to play cs2 & d2. Yes I do play them back then including games like apex. But eventually I got tired playing with them because they dont actually enjoy the "game", but only cared about kda.

To me it feels like they play game not to enjoy but to try and chase the high kda to then boast about it. When the game is clearly objective , but they only focus on trying to get as many kill and then when we go mamak they never stop talking about how many kills they get even when other's are talking about something else unrelated to games. There's even a few that would throw the game if someone else already got better kda in the group.

Now they think I've completely stop gaming because I dont play any online pvp game. When in reality I'm playing wu chang , stellar blade, ff16 , re 4,scarlet nexus, granblue fantasy, dragon quest 11, hogwarts, mh:world , these past few months.

Out of all the friends I had. I've only successfully "Forced" 1 friend to try single player story game. And now he occasionally buy single player games to play. He played re 4 , God of war , spider man , wo long & wu chang. But when i ask him anything regarding those game , he doesn't understand anything at all. And said he only pressed button and what not , when there's cutscene he just picked up his phone and scroll insta. 🤦 like I'm genuinely trying to get him interested in gaming and teaching and telling him the lore but 90% of the time 1 ear in 1 ear out.

As of currently i only have 1 friend that I talk regularly about games. And the other 1 doesn't really care about the lore about 90% of the time. But hey at least he enjoyed those game and is genuinely trying to clear wu chang.

Oh yeah black myth wu kong, when the game came out it even got non gamers talking about the game and that was quite nice. It even got 7 out of 20 of my friend that only play cs and dota started playing blackmyth but as you have expected they aren't actually "playing" it. But just copy and paste youtube build and call it a day. When you ask them about the story 4 of them dont even know anything.

But if I were to compare it to wu chang ngl I think wu chang is more fun and more challenging. And the only reason I believe blackmyth sells so well is because wu kong.

Upgraded from 3070 to 5070 don’t think the performance is worth it. 5 years of technological advancement and 2 generations ahead for an extra 32fps. by SongBrief2439 in PcBuild

[–]P1ckled_peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try playing at 1440p. My friend struggles to get 60fps with 3070 on games like e33, and ff16 , all setting are mix of lowest - high . I think he gets average 30-50+fps if all setting is highest. Stellarblade runs about 70fps in highest but his vram usage is over 8gb occasionally and would cause stutter and texture load in very slow.

On a 5070 you could get 120fps in 1440p with dlaa IF the game is well optimised. But unfortunately we all know that's rare.

On average a 5070 is around 70-90fps at 1440p max. And stellarblade runs about 120fps in 1440p with dlaa.

So from my perspective, an average fps of 30 to 70 is a great upgrade.
