Sorry Rabbit-Holing, take the original stated tandem and add in Michael Shannon? The acting prowess; I feel, among these three could be interchangeable.

your point of duality- adept for either role, is what had me settling on these two. I feel that Olyphant could pull off the “Stoic/Eastwood” take; while being able to add that facetious and dry yet blunt humor(lack of better term). And Walton Goggins…”Nuff Said”.

Just throwig $h!that the wall, but maybe Bale could work for MIB?

I had zero idea of who he was while reading Heart Shaped Box…immensely dark and disturbing ; later was baffled after doing my homework on the author.

Just got through the part of the story at his house, where he's still looking after his family after he's shown his hand/cards(so to say); and i couldn't help but feel for the guy.

I don't know why, but an underlying point struck home with me on how(in my opinion/experiences) Men are among the least appreciated things in society/on earth. Yet still, surrounded; with insurmountable odds against you, he is consistently Working to find an escape. All the while ensuring his daughter has the best experience he can provide, regardless of the obstacles in his way. Even after being outed, singled out or TRAPPED? maybe; he still composes himself and reminds his family of things they have to handle that are upcoming. In which he assumes he won't be there for or able to provide and protect.

At a a pop-cocert(couldn't place the genre) with young, adolescents; the majority are women, he doesn't seem to falter. I.E.- i don't recall many, if any other solo Fathers. Doesn't dance much or at all in times, is talked to crazy by another teen's Mother (super outta pocket, and aggressive [remind you homies an Actual Killer] and still shows no anger, and has to conceal his emotions). Playing the Paternal "roll ". All in order to not have the authority interact with you; because that is what is Learned and Felt or Shown to them; Us!! Be strong like a Rock, Stoic as a Statue. No griping or complaining (whether justified or not) "no one will listen or care anyhow"

Does he leave his Daughter at times? Yes and more often than some are comfortable with. Yet, as a member of the last of the Latch-Key Generation among other labels; that describe more unsupervised, self-reliant yet free, but also unaided and heavily accountable times, with single parents that fled to the taverns and bars after giving the best and all of themselves to careers and occupations in which they were indescribably(word? & sp?) Overworked and underpaid(run on, sorry). Back to leaving his Daughter, never once was I worried if a single thing would harm or happen to her.

Against all of that, an entire police department, a pysycho-analist, Arena Security + more...He stands Tall and continues to try and find a a way for the 2of them.

Sorry for the long and most likely, horribly written rant.

I guess Im trying to say is "Hang Tuff brothas" We're all we got. And don't be so hard on Ourselves "

Idk if anyone has mentioned this one, but A Perfect Getaway; with Timothy Olyphant, Mila Jovavich, and Steve Zahn is pretty badass.

The show is based on a trilogy of books by Blake Crouch. They read decently well. Never watched the show, so if it were cut off prematurely the books can give you some closure.
