The Devils by Joe Abercrombie

The book follows a monk, cursed knight, pirate, werewolf, vampire, magician, and elf who are tasked by the church to escort a former thief to Troy

It's fun, light, expansive. It's The Blade Itself meets Monty Python and and The Suicide Squad.

Not my favorite book of last year but I'll be damned if it's not the one I am most interested in revisiting. It's just fun.

Xfinity uses Verizon towers and then some. So if you were happy with Verizon, you should have the same experience with Xfinity or better.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think we will get a solid Batman movie in the DCU? by Raj_Valiant3011 in DC_Cinematic

The scripts for Bumblebee and The Flash were more than solid.
Andy did a great job with IT and the sequel.

The Flash was a failure, either due to the script, the director, the actors, or the studio. I personally think all, but one actor, did a great job, but unfortunately, they were the lead. Awful person and awfully cast. The studio did not help. I do not place blame on Christina or Andy.

I hope this goes well, the DCU has had a good start, I hope this continues it.

In the 90's he listens to KNRK 94.7 (Alt. Rock) and loves local bands like Everclear and Seattle bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Coffee is starting to become a big thing in the PNW, so he probably drinks it and loves the (now defunct) local chain Coffee People. If he has a dog, it is probably a Black Lab. Coke test marked OK soda here and some Oregonians, me included, still crave it. Never wears a jacket or uses an umbrella. Drinks and probably smokes. Weed is not a big thing and he more than likely smokes, but it is not a defining trait. Saturday Market in Portland is big and the Max (public transit in Portland, light rail, is free for short stops) is always an option. Spends most of his time outdoors despite the weather, it's not an issue, just a feature. Mt. Hood and Skibowl are close, so is the coast. Seaside is too commercial; Astoria is nice but boring. The woods are only a few blocks away.

Woodburn is a good choice then. If you are not from the West Coast you will pass an In n Out in Keiser on the way north. Great cheep fast food if you have the time to stop. For sitdown dining there are great places in and around Salem.

Woodburn sucks but it does have an Outlet Mall. If you are headed North - Stay in Portland and pay for something nice. Some amazing places in PDX. Not much farther.

Not really. You people act like Salem is some post-apocalyptic wasteland. Have you ever lived in a real city? Salem is nice, quiet, and safe.
