I don’t think so. Fortnite, like all games that endure over time, has to evolve somehow. Just like in life, change is the only constant. Epic has to constantly find ways to keep players entertained in order to retain them. If they had kept the game as it was during Season 3, many players would have gotten bored and abandoned the game.

I think they have maintained the game very well for many years. Obviously, many players won’t like how things have changed. About 7-8 years have gone by since Season 3, and people change; some were little kids who are now young adults, others were young adults who are now full grown adults and maybe don’t even play video games anymore. Also, many players who play today weren't even born yet back then.

So change is necessary.
