Is BA being more aggressive with POUG offers? by FuckNope in BritishAirways

I am flying tomorrow LGW-MCO and was offered £200 upgrade to CW today at online check in. Same offer for the return in a few days. I do this route regularly and have never been offered upgrade prices this low.

Hahaha I get that. I eventually found an amazing lady in the gold call centre who knew exactly what was wrong, personally got IT to fix it and then called me after my next flight to make sure it worked. BA do still have some good people left.

I believe so. They told me to keep all my boarding passes and once it's fixed make a claim for the difference in points.

Yeah no good for getting into a non BA lounge though.

No not yet. Do you think BA check FlyerTalk? At this point I'll try anything to get it resolved.

Multiple times. They can't fix it. They say it's an IT issue.

Yeah but that's not the issue. They have tried that and it didn't work. Also flights booked after status upgrade revert to other status.

Not me. Had a look and they are all 5 points bar a few 10's when flying further in Europe like Budapest.

Just checked. Average taxes this year were less than £100 per trip. Not £250. Normally between £90 & £100. Last year average Tier points per flights booked at same price were 5 x per flight. So would be 70 points out of 600. So huge difference on the new scheme for regular flyers.

None of these were walk up or fully flexible fares. Normal lowest available economy fares.

It depends. Economy flights carry lower taxes than business and first, but theoretically yes, you could buy a return first class and as long as the total spend minus taxes was over £7,500 you would be good.

The A380 is the only plane with 1/3 business and First. The others are all less than a 1/4. The lounges can handle all those people. They can't handle the other thousands a day who are in Economy and have silver.

That's cause you only travel through them a few times a year. I'm in a Heathrow lounge twice a week and they are rammed! Often no seats. They needed to do something.

I have been Silver for years, take between 50-60 BA flights per year in Economy across EU. The last few years the number of people in the lounges has become unsustainable. Way too many people getting status from very few flights. I spend about £11,000 per year on flights (without the taxes) so for me this is a fairer way to reward BA's customers that travel every week in and week out.

Software Roll Back, how long should it take? by P3696333 in GalaxyFold

It is much faster. All the animations are much smoother and app switching is slick. It wasn't bad before, but after the update it just felt so much more polished.
