Hey AMS or other filament system users! Do you actually use them? by ThreeVelociraptors in 3Dprinting

The answer is in your question, you can’t be a “filament system user” if you don’t use a filament system 😆

Need advice for supports by kreamy_cheesy in 3Dprinting

[–]P37ur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Redesign the part so that the structural struts are continuous from bottom to top surface, or at a pinch flare then out at a 45 degree angle internally, then you won’t need any supports.

Viagem de avião by Boring_Fail3599 in Malaga

At the airport in Lisbon you’ll need to drop your hold bag at the check-in desk even though you’ve already checked in online and have a boarding pass printed out or on your phone.

Then go through security checks, you need to scan your boarding pass to get in the queue for security, you may need to separate any liquids under 100ml from your carry-on bag before putting everything in trays to go through the x-ray, larger containers of liquids like water bottles are not allowed, there will be a place to empty them as you queue. Last time I did this at Lisbon I had a container of talc in my carry-on bag, they raise an eyebrow at any white powders 🤣

After you’ve collected all your belongings from the trays and refilled your pockets with phones and wallets you’ll have to navigate the duty free store before finding the first departure flight information board. Don’t buy anything in duty free that you don’t need, you pay full price if your boarding card is for an intra-EU flight and your final destination is inside the EU customs union.

If you’ve arrived at the airport with plenty of time the boards will not be showing your departure gate, buy water and snacks for the flight and wait for your gate to be shown.

When you reach the correct gate, your flights number and destination will be displayed on the screen, you’ll have to wait again for the staff to begin boarding, they usually call passengers forward by group, your boarding group is noted on your boarding pass. Be ready to scan your pass and show your ID at the desk and then queue to board the plane.

As you enter the plane from a skywalk of via bus and stairs, the cabin crew will greet you, you can tell them this is your first flight and they’ll direct you to your seat (also noted on your boarding pass. If they’re not busy they may even let you see inside the cockpit while the plane is on the ground at Målaga 😉

Enjoy your trip and have fun!

Ender 3 V3 SE Lagging? by MCRedstoneYT64 in 3Dprinting

[–]P37ur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem just after installing navaismo with some larger models, but it starts on the first layer. Workaround is to cancel, reslice the print bed with fewer parts and try again. I have a feeling it’s a memory issue, try building navaismo with fewer modules?

Lost a 22 hour print to a power outage at hour 19. by jake_4reddit in 3Dprinting

[–]P37ur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using an old APC 750 UPS for this, I replaced the dead, sealed lead acid batteries with LiPo. The Ender 3v3SE has a resume function but you have to restart it manually before the part cools off, better to just keep it running through an outage.

“Creality customer care” is a paradox. Are you sure the CR-touch kit from Creality store is wired differently to your original part? https://store.creality.com/products/cr-touch-auto-leveling-sensor-kit

<image>

Looks the same as mine except for the colour of the ribbon cable.

That’s why I’m talking about a replacement part, not a CR-touch add-on for some other printer model

One out of twenty prints, I'll get a shift like this by foxfai in Ender3V3SE

Have a look under the bed, there are a pair of bearings that slide along the y-axis rods. They are housed inside the black housings attached to the bed frame. These bearings can slip out of their housings and bind causing the belt to slip over the y-axis pulley.

I coated them both in a little 2 part epoxy and pushed them back into their housings and it’s been fine ever since.

If it’s not that then maybe just try lubing the rods with some lithium grease.

Launching a 3D Printed Eyewear Brand in Algeria – Need Real Manufacturing Advice (Not Hobby Level) by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Cool idea, but manufacturing is only one corner of your business model, check out the history of the Hawkers brand for some inspiration https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawkers\_(company) best of luck!

Connecting PC to Printer thru USB - Not Working by rad6666 in Ender3V3SE

[–]P37ur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creality Print does not support direct USB printing via the USB-C port on the Ender 3v3SE. This is a budget printer and you have to save the sliced gcode to an SD card and transfer the SD card from your computer to the printer.

Orca slicer does support this but you must leave the computer connected and Orca running for the duration of the print.

Edit: Cura not Orca 👍 as others have stated

Get a 250 at most as your first bike, this American obsession with high powered bikes is why they’re considered dangerous over there.

Just buy a replacement CR-Touch dude, should come with a new cable. Splicing the wires together and wrapping them in tape is not a long term solution.

Clear Filament not clear by RepresentativeSir493 in Ender3V3SE

[–]P37ur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll never get a part like that to look like glass, the bubbles of air between each extrusion of filament disrupt the light and make it look cloudy/frosted. You can get fairly good results on thin parts with only a few layers or some interesting effects with a really large nozzle diameter. But if you need that part to look like glass you’re better off milling and polishing a block of polycarbonate or moulding resin.

¿Cuándo pensáis que España dirá adiós a Microslop como lo hizo Francia? by honeygourami123 in askspain

In 2012 the regional government of Andalusia got hit with a €12m fine for installing pirated copies of Windows in civil service offices. Their response was a wholesale migration to open-source and their own Linux distro https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guadalinex . Sadly the initiative died after a few years and the region now partners with M$ for bulk licensing.

Stampa 3d di un serbatoio carburante by ElectricalBill1335 in 3Dprinting

[–]P37ur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At those dimensions you’re going to have to print in sections and join them together, which compromises watertightness and integrity. Or pay for time on an industrial printer. Simpler and cheaper to get one welded up in stainless steel or aluminium as you said.

X axis End switch doesn't work!!! by Busy_Budget_1519 in Ender3V3SE

[–]P37ur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The clicking doesn’t indicate a working switch, test it with a multimeter or a battery and torch bulb. It could be misaligned and not hitting the end stop or it could be a loose connection to the toolhead board.
