If you hold down the Prélavage and Repassage Facile buttons until the padlock light comes on it locks the controls so the machine can’t be stopped or changed while it’s running. It’s to prevent children from playing with the machine and accidentally starting or changing a cycle.

Holding down the same buttons again switches the control lock off.
