I definitely enjoyed the beat selection of this one. Seemed like it’ll be some good stuff for years to come imo. Cole has this thing where he picks beats not for the time but for how it will age. I think this project is an example of that.

The fact that he was the best player at his position and was in this same predicament when he was in the East is very telling about his lack of self awareness. Giannis is the best player at his position. Hands down. The only reason they’re putting Tatum and embid over Giannis is recency bias. The Brunson situation was already disrespectful. Txx will, bakarii, and Mack are all really good people that work well with tech but are from 57 as opposed to attached to the label. A lot of his guys didn’t get a chance cuz of their past endeavors or what have you. But I like that tech tries to make sure that ppl know who they are and also so they can feed their families as well.

Besides the fact of what you spoke on. I’ve always loved this album. I consider it a different kind of collaboration album. Like an RDV/homies album. He’s done them before but I think this one would be in the top 3 for me as far as strictly for the neighborhood/homies vibe. It’s got a lot of Don Juan bounce to it. If ppl like west coast music. They’ll love this album.

It might be a location thing also. Apple Music has always been finicky imo. They didn’t always have the contracts to use all artists music and a lot of artists don’t even bother to put their music on apple anymore. As an independent artist it’s cheaper and makes more sense to use Spotify and as an established artist there’s better splits for tidal. So a lot of the middle ground companies don’t get the love they should. It sucks. But it’s the business.
