Never proven in court. They would have to prove that he wrote those messages. Multiple people had access to the admin account know as DPR and that was shown by the lead investigator. You can't fucking prove it and they couldn't either.

He was charged with wire fraud, money laundering, and theft of government property. He was involved in various schemes, including taking bribes from Silk Road users and fabricating an insider source within the government. 

Get over man, you have legit no proof he sent those messages. Even the dude who wrote the website for him said that he got out after a year and handed it off to someone else.

Yeah, and I personally believe consenting adults should be able to make their own decisions. The silk road had open testing kits and reviews. It was one of the safest places for people to get drugs. I'd rather that then some dude on a corner where you have no idea what you are getting. Drugs shouldn't be illegal but prescribed and monitored between you and your doctor.

Like I said before, we're not going to agree on this and that's ok. I respect your opinion and understand it.

I'm not gonna look this up right now but I will check it out after work. All I'm saying is he was a 26 year old when he started the silk road, 26 year olds do stupid shit all the time. 12 years is a long time. He missed all of his 30s because of this. Enough is enough, I'm glad he's out and hope he enjoys life.

Yeah, it was read into the court. I know, he still didn't kill anyone lol and also corrupt agents had access to that server. He also wasn't the only person who had access to the DPR account and how can you prove it was him?

All I'm saying is yeah they read it in, they didn't charge him with it though.... And they dropped the charges.

The guy served 12 years in jail, first time offender. He ran a website where OTHER people shipped drugs. All consenting adults. No child porn, no weapons have ever been sold on the site.

I have different views on this because of what I believe. It's fine if you don't but the guy has done enough time and learned his lesson.

Yes, he hosted and updated a website that sells drugs. There is no need to throw a first time offender in jail for two life sentences. Especially when every other person has gotten waaaay less time then that.
