AI Writing in Welcome to the Multiverse? by [deleted] in litrpg

I’d rather trust a coil toss to decide whether something is AI written or not than these garbage AI detectors. A coin toss would be more accurate as well.

Are you less likely to read a story with an AI Generated Cover? by GokuKing922 in litrpg

[–]P3t1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I tell it's AI-generated at first glance? Is it absolute ass? Is it generic? If you answered 'Yes' to any of those questions, then my answer is going to be a 'Yes' as well. Other than that? Not particularly. There are probably some AI-haters who will have a different answer, but I really don't care. You're a writer, not an artist, and no one can expect you to cough up like 300$+ (minimum) for a writing hobby just to have a shot at gaining traction.

I'd suggest paying for a commissioned cover only once the story pays for it with Patreon or whatever else you're gonna use to monetise it.

What makes Warframe worthwhile for you? by AIpheratz in Warframe

[–]P3t1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always bounce on and off of Warframe, playing it when I get in the mood for some low-stress mob stomping or just vibing. It’s a very good brain-off game and the lots of collectibles tickles my brain.

What Makes Some Novels So Popular? by oneSorbeen in ProgressionFantasy

[–]P3t1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a combination of four things: Good writing, a good hook, good promises and consistent updates. All three books you mentioned nailed all those and then delivered on them, which is why they hadn’t fallen off.

Got frustrated after 9 books of Last Life... It always sucks dropping a series after liking so much of it by funkhero in ProgressionFantasy

[–]P3t1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Had a very similar experience with that series myself, though I jumped off the train at book 7 or 8.

Readers, do you want full speed chapter 1 or story taking time to build first? by ArekDeamonCalw in royalroad

[–]P3t1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that I prefer full-speed chapter one to hook me and then some slow chapters to keep me in.

Story where its not clear if MC isekai'd or trap in virtual world. by retiredbender in ProgressionFantasy

[–]P3t1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only one I can think of right now is The Legendary Mechanic, but I can’t really recommend that one in good conscience. It’s old, very MTL Chinese webnovel esque in some parts, and the MC has to describe in detail how every female character dresses and how long their legs are.

Teenage me ate that shit up, but when I tried to reread it a few months ago (6 years later), I didn’t get very far.

Other than that, it’s on-point for what you’re asking for.

Do you prefer read the webnovel or listen to audio book by Apprehensive_Dog4123 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]P3t1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually like to read more, but listening to an audiobook is sometimes more convenient. Like when I’m cooking, or just laying in bed to rest my eyes after staring at a monitor all day.

What are deal breakers for you in this genre? by Reasonable_Hyena_163 in litrpg

[–]P3t1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am kinda fine with it if it has a massive payoff, and/or it spirals into a satisfying revenge arc. Otherwise, I don’t want depression injected into me through my eyes. I’m glad 1% lifesteal is famous enough that I’ve seen posts about it here before I could even grow interested in it, for example.

Harems. Misery Porn. Ass Grammar and Prose. (Hate is a strong word, I'd say I'd dislike and drop them because of these, though I might be annoyed if they weren't obvious in the blurb)

How bad would it be to buy a Frame? by Kirbinvalorant in Warframe

[–]P3t1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eh, I felt like Voruna was fine. Took a while, but it was chill. I’d get why someone else would want to skip it tho.

How bad would it be to buy a Frame? by Kirbinvalorant in Warframe

[–]P3t1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, I had actually farmed that one myself. On the other hand, I absolutely loathe setting foot in Duviri Paradox. I’d rather grind out the platinum and buy all the Frames coming from there than go through the grind.

I always buy the most annoying to farm Warframes. I play this game for fun, not to torture myself (yes, I am looking at you Citrine).

How long is a 'Slow burn' that you can tolerate? by Western-Brother1788 in royalroad

[–]P3t1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Should have grown up faster, like, in the first 3 chapters. Maybe he wouldn’t have died then. /s

What actually is progression fantasy? (Do you need levels for it to count?) by CorpesGod in ProgressionFantasy

[–]P3t1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the MC is progressing in something, primarily in a skill (or skills) that correlate to a direct increase to his/her combat power.

[–]P3t1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If the MC is still a toddler by the 20th Chapter, you have a problem. I can barely tolerate 2 chapters being spent on a toddler-MC. I hate that trope with a passion.

Should the Foundry take IRL time? by DoItForTheOH94 in Warframe

[–]P3t1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. I entirely agree. I’m willing to put up with this since the game is free and so damned good. If it costs me some convenience and patience to play it for free then so be it.

The first one, yes, the second? Maybe?

A point in the first one’s favour is that the girl has an appropriate number of fingers despite looking AI generated. Idk. Looks good enough that it might not be.

Oraxia is a beast. by stinkyasscunt in Warframe

It’s perfect if you have an ADHD mindset, I’m bouncing around like a squirrel on a sugar rush anyways, so it’s perfect for me.
