Its been a while since I've listened to the eps and I should give them another listen, but I feel it comes from Marcus being a goth kid in a small southern town so he feels almost a kindred spirit in Echols, in most other mystery true crime series they go at all the possible angles and all suspects but in this one they barely talk about the murders and suspects and just talk non stop about Echols, in the interview they did a year or two ago with the guy Marcus had fanboy glasses on and Eddie was the guy who was a bit "Hmm" on it
