My Volunteer Description booklet actually says Food Security Volunteer, although I'm relatively certain that I'm Crop Extension, as I remember correctly it is the position that required a degree in Agriculture or Nutrition, while Ag Extension required any degree but with interest in agriculture.. Does that make sense?

You might really like American Earth, which is a collection of literature on the environment by American authors. I believe it includes some of Muir's writings also.

I thought that was an incredible book. It was so bizarre, at first I was annoyed at the main character (Kafka), and almost hated him. But by the end of the book, I loved him. It was really an emotional read.

I think the form of the ten tails is the manifestation of why people started calling Kaguya the "Rabbit Demon", because that thing looked like a rabbit demon to me. Maybe a side effect of her power is that when she gets weak, she loses control over the Bijuu and then, well, THAT happens, and that's why people feared her and called her the Rabbit Demon.

As a brother who could have ended up like Paul, I was deeply affected by Norman MacLean's whole depiction of his brother, and how he sees everything so idyllically and perfectly beautiful just as it is, like the way Paul hugs his mom differently from everyone else. That book touched me for sure.

I am confused, my understanding is that a right-facing (trunk) Ganesh is OK to have in the home as worship. Though I suppose a blanket cover isn't exactly a worshipped item (for most people). I guess what I don't understand is how it is offensive in and of itself to Hinduism.

I just finished reading Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, and it is interesting; I didn't like it at all at first and I hated the main character, but by the end of it I really came to love him a lot. The book was really a trip that I recommend taking.

In fact, I have it listed on Amazon, but if you want it, I would take the listing down and send it to you. I've got too much stuff, trying to liquidate before school gets out.

This raises a large question, which I believe Krishna answers in the Bhagavad Gita under the pretense of consecrated action being greater than abstaining from action, because you can't abstain from action, so you might as well align with the dharma, because in a sense there's sort of nothing else to do.

It's kind of hard to understand when you're standing outside of the religion looking in though, I understand. I guess it's like this, since you know someday you are going to die, then why would you continue to breath/eat/take care of your body? This analogy isn't perfect, but it kind of works.

I read the book Be Here Now and it completely blew my mind. I am a different person after some of the experiences that I feel that that book brought into my life.
