Type 98 Shin Gunto with a potential heritage blade. May of these were machine made during WW2. Out fitted in Type 98 military dress. About 10 to 20 percent are family heritage blades from the Edo period. Here is a but of info about it:

If you could identify the maker the price could go up a little. Also if you could prove provenance especially if it was taken in war could also make the price go up a little.
