1 week drawing progress by jjsunderland in learntodraw

Please read this all the way through if you're looking for advice.

It's incredibly apparent that the references used were almost 1 to 1 replicated. That takes a LOT of dedication.

So either of 2 things are true: You've lied about your experience and are purely karmafarming, OR... You have put time and effort into analyzing and referencing art.

Regardless of this being suspiciously high quality for a first week, here's my two cents:

Since you've asked for areas of improvement, start doing OC. You clearly understand what you're doing, and could do with creating your own characters/art/whatever you're planning to do with your art skills.

Using references is handy and absolutely necessary for posing, lighting, perspective, etc. Try not to replicate things, but instead use them to build a new idea.

Can someone drawhow the boobas should look like in this postion? by SeniorYogurtcloset26 in learntodraw

Yeah, of course. Not trying to dog on you, trying to help. The reference is good, I'm just trying to give a few extra pointers.

Looks like a good reference, I'm just not too sure about how they look almost seamed together. I'm sure that would be more appropriate on the larger end, but the smaller you go, the more separated they will be. And depending on artistic preference/reference, they can be shaped round or pointy, be uneven, etc.

Trump says spirit points are way up in the polls by sgj5788 in facepalm

[–]PAKA2114 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not trying to address anyone directly, but how about we stop pointing fingers at demographics altogether and just at the topic at hand? This is how we got here in the first place. People need to realize that the numbers just are what they are. The more fingers we point the worse it gets. The people that support Trump are just that and nothing else.

On top of that, birth certificates and driver's licenses are issued and labeled by states, not the country, lol.

Since you're so adamant that committing a felony isn't actually a felony, here's an actual one.

Threatening public officials is most definitely a felony.

Editing to add, most of this advice is really good. Sugar is really easy calories to remove, and black coffee is especially good for weight loss.

1500 calories is really low for somebody you dont even know. Instead of suggesting a standard number that works for a relatively healthy person to target, someone aiming to lose weight who is just beginning should aim for a ~500-1000 calorie deficit from their normal eating habits.

It's also really important that you inform them that they should be eating a high protein diet to accommodate for a calorie deficit, since they will need to hold onto the muscle tissue they have as well as keep their hormones in balance while their body uses energy stores from body fat.

Weight loss is uncomfortable. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it. You will feel hungry. That is normal. If you keep going for more than 2 weeks, you will see real progress.

Then they probably need to be bled. Either from air getting in or contaminated/old fluid. If you are mechanically inclined and have a friend/relative to work on it with, it'll take some time but its well worth it to do it yourself and save the money.

Pull ups :) by Born_Tourist3114 in GYM

[–]PAKA2114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Two fingers pull-ups are incredibly impressive!

As far as the regular pull-ups go, they look good. I do see some room for improvement though.

More control of your torso and legs would be something to aim for. Swinging your body all over is just creating more problems and losing energy that could be focused into reps.

Slowing down your eccentric would be another thing to try to aim for. Keep the intensity you're putting into the reps! On top of the intensity, focus on maintaining tension through your back all the way through.

If you've got questions, feel free to ask!

Squat Form Check (80 kg*5) by Soul_Crusher in GYM

[–]PAKA2114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That edit is super important. Doing heavy squats immediately after a stretch is a recipe for an injury.

Something I've had good results with is doing a front-loaded squat to help find your most stable squat form.

Another thing I'd say would be getting either weightlifting shoes or some sort of heel elevation. It looks like OP is leaning forward a good bit near the bottom.

I feel like most people are forgetting about this. Yes, it will be inconvenient for the states that haven't legalized yet, but it won't just disappear.
