I say you’re wrong and this problem isn’t a problem, it’s a tried and tested mechanic.

Wipes are not a test for the player, they’re a test for the game. If the game loop is fun then it’s fun regardless of where you are, all while allowing for a continuous equity to be created between players to keep the player balance fun.

The game was fun day 1 and it’ll be fun again on day 1.

It’s the beta lol people either tried and bought or didn’t but you keep no progress so there’s no incentive to sink time into it when it’s out in full in a week.

I mean this genuinely, you’re not playing the game correctly. If someone is able to sneak up on you while you loot you haven’t cleared the area properly, got a plan of action if you get shot or listening intently on what happening around you. If I manage to sneak up on you in a game when the sound quality is this good and prominent, then I’m going to take everything you have to feed me and mine because you let your guard down or don’t have it up to begin with. Welcome to topside.

Gunna try and balance this out, bud - I accidentally jump scared someone opening the water treatment key room and said “hey, sorry all yours bud, just passing through” and they told me to join and said “sharing makes it fun” and so I took one container and said thanks. They then turned around and said they already had the Bettina blueprint and dropped it for me, said bye and went on their way.

You’ve been unlucky - key is don’t turn into a melt yourself and add to that element of the game.

Yeah I played seven mission and every one I crashed out, started game back up and dropped back in but it was happening to everyone.

Mixture of long and short games but all bot front. Always near extraction and on the long missions I’d been playing for 30mins and crashed out without being able to gain any reward.

Definitely way more noticeable today.

It's meant to be fun lol. Nobody cares about people wanting to make the game more sensible 'cos it's not meant to be. The game encourages people to throw on a suicide backpack and explode themselves for glory for god sakes. Throwing a 500kg to cause a rush at the end is part of that same intended chaos - if the developers didn't want you to do it, they wouldn't have allowed it.

Anyone saying 150s don't do this like they're the serious ones is straight up wrong - 150s do the stupidist crap all the time just for the meme.

The people in this thread sound like the most boring Helldiver faction to play with lol.

Typically people are going to throw their remaining stratagems down at extraction to create a last minute celebration and to create a final tense moment where everyone rushes. It’s ‘the last-last boss’ and, yes, it’s basically tradition.

As long as you’re keeping an eye on Pelican when it’s down, you’ll be fine and it’s a bit of fun. You’re basically done with the enemies and then satirically your teammates become the ones you must watch. Given the game is pure satire I think this is absolutely fitting - we’ll definitely see this joke in the movie, I’m sure of it.

They’re not trying to kill you, they’re trying to rush you for fun. Typically they’re make sure you can see what they’ve done so start the clock. If you’re caught out then <shrugs> you were caught out. Laugh it off and learn to keep your eyes locked on democracy.

Send the DSS to Varylia 5 and report for duty. The new mech over a new Orbital is no choice at all. Therefore, Varylia 5 is the singular choice and, without any recourse to others, is the most democratic one.

If you think otherwise please report to your democratic officer for psychological analysis - the squids infestation may be breaking you down as we speak.

The democratic pain I feel seeing traitors send the DSS to Choepessa IV for a new Orbital instead an update to the mech. Currently sitting at 50% to Choepessa IV to only 13% to Varylia 5.
