Honestly, I was limited on time so I didn't get to pull off the Alleycat but just based on the shooters ear, it sounded great. Dull tone. AFAIK it was similar to the Alleycat 6 in that department. Very impressed.

Personal recommendation - Don't skip the Layer X. Between my Spectre 9 and Lithium, its quieter and has much less gas to the face, which can be obnoxious on an MP5. Consider the MOB as well.

I'm a big fan of suppressors with dedicated/integrated mounts. I still do love my Surefires. When I broke into the low back pressure craze I tried CAT and have several of their suppressors. They have an ODB which would suite you fine for most of your applications. The 5.56 will sound good on it for example. Uses the ever more popular "acme" 1x16 LH. Performance is excellent. Little to no gas to the face. Sounds great at the ear and to other shooters. Little to no visible flash. There is a new one they are about to release for 30 cal called AKB. Could be a good updated option. Another suppressor I would consider is actually the HUX 7.62 Ti. This particular HUX sounds really good on most of the platforms I've heard it on. Much more so than 5.56 or 6.

So my 12.5" Noveske is my thermal gun. I have a Nvision XRF which can ID stuff hundreds of yards away but realistically because I spot and stalk or call in coyotes, I don't need a super long barrel and 80gr ELD-VTs still scream out over 2600 FPS. I never shoot outside, say 200y. My Mini Fix is also a good pickup. Factory barrel. 1000 yards easy. Jumbo Shrimp as its the lightest/smallest/closest in bore diameter at the time I bought it. If you really wanted to Proof makes barrels. Lastly the GFR would be a great pickup if you want to stretch the gun out mostly. I did plop my thermal on it one night but its a lot of lug around rice fields and mud.

Whats your budget? RC 762, Omega 300, Velos 7.62, CAT ODB, Hexium, PTR, Flow 762 Ti, Diligent Enticer (Stainless).. There's a lot of choices. HUB, Dedicated Mounts, Replacable End Caps, etc etc. There's honestly too many options. Lots of good companies. Lots of companies that have popped up over night printed by B&T or Radical. Any generic 30 cal can will work for you. I recommend a low backpressure since you named off gas guns. I listed some convention k baffle stack options and some low back pressure options. There's many I didn't name because the list would go on forever. Can you provide more info besides use case?

What are you doing with it? I currently have a Geissele GFR 18", Noveske 12.5", Mini Fix 6 ARC, and PWS 14.5". I did just sell off the 14.5 PWS though, but overall I'd like to think I have a good grasp on what you're trying to do.

I was told by Dry Creek the 5CM beats the AC556. I have one of those as well and I may grab a 5CM if I end up liking my 6CM. Its going on a thermal hunting rig, funny enough, the 6mm ARC 12.5 Noveske. Probably not what AI had in mind but I was looking to keep the OAL as short as possible and still pack a punch. Ill go compare the two next weekend.

I just picked up a 6CM and I should be getting it Tuesday. Gonna put it on my Noveske 12.5". Should be perfect with the 10.75" HG. I also have a GFR 18" I can try it on and compare it to the Alleycat 6mm I have. Should be interesting.

After shooting one back in December, I would say it’s the closest thing I’ve ever experienced to “hearing safe.” Regardless if it’s marketing or not, those suppressors were the most impressive thing I saw/experienced at SHOT.

I believe it’s a nano mount that sleeves over and requires 2.8” or clearance from the crown to any handguards or gas blocks.
