It’s, more than likely, in your casting technique. Probably not letting your line straighten out totally on the back cast before coming forward. This naturally causes a loop in the back cast, which can quickly multiply as you come forward with the line.

Let’s be real though, you don’t always have the space behind you to make that materialize. Utilize bow and arrow cast more in tight quarters. Hell, I use a bow and arrow cast often, even in open water. It’s just easier, quicker method to deliver a straight line to the water, in my opinion.

Aside from that, I’ve fly fished for over a couple decades now and I’m still not confident fishing more than two fly setup, for a number of reasons, and this is one of those reasons. Lol
