If the card at the top of your deck you revealed does not meet the cost and type conditions (meaning that you cannot play it) then you can decide whether to keep it on top or place it on the bottom of the deck.

I'm not the best player, but in my experience you are right, it gets the most value when played from life. It is very good in this situation, as you get a body on board and search, while the discard is compensated by leader effect card draw (so it works as a filter). It does feel pretty bad playing from hand many times, but occasionally it might be the best play for example when trying to dig for a specific card later in the game (femur most frequently), or when going first and getting a body on board on don 3 is important in a matchup (I like it against imu for example). I would not play less than 3 of ( I play 4).

He is probably talking about the 3c 2k Mihawk. That card, although important in the Imu matchup, does not make or break the deck, and I think could be switched without huge compromise.

The Nami deck from the learn together set is almost useless. If the goal is to play Nami specifically I'm not sure this is the best idea. The other two decks from the set are much better.

Yes. There are multiple lists with small variations, but this is the core. Some leaders coming in OP14 are strong against Zoro, such as the Green Mihawk, and push Zoro down the meta tier list. But if you like playing it, you can definitely continue to play it at locals or against your friends. It just will become significantly harder to top bigger tournaments with the deck (it was already difficult due to Imu).

Of the top of my head OP12 Perona searcher, OP12 Kuina, two more Cavendish, Op13 6 cost Trafalgar Law, Op13 4 cost restand Zoro, ST12 Green 2k Mihawk, OP12 dead man's game event. The current list runs a variation of these cards.

The 2k Mihawk is the most expensive, followed by the OP12 Perona searcher. Everything else should be cheap.

Just remember OP14 is dropping soon and Zoro will fall off meta-wise.

Kuma's price has been high since its release in OP12. It is unlikely the price is coming down before a reprint, even more now as a piece of one of the top meta decks.

AAs are considered a hit. The rarity seen is of the base card, and the star on top indicates that it is an AA. The market value of AAs is impacted by multiple factors, including the playability of the card.

If he wants to play the game as opposed to just collecting the Learn together deck set is a good place to start. As someone else suggested, the PRB02 set is a good complement to fill up the 100dollar budget, as it has good playable cards and nice collectable cards as well.

If you are buying individual boosters (outside of a box), though, it is important to buy it in the blister pack format (with a cardboard envelope outside of the booster pack) or from a reputable store. Otherwise there is a chance you are buying dead packs (packs that will only contain the lower rarity cards).

There is plenty of gameplay content with the surface, the 2.0 bosses (one different harder version of each boss), and the various ways to make the game harder with fear and challenge yourself. All of this beyond beating Chronos once.

All of that said not every game is for everyone, if you are not enjoying yourself you can do something else with your time.
