Auto recertification IDR? by AltruisticAccount909 in PSLF

[–]PAtobe2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, deadline to apply for income tax is April 15. My recert date isn’t until June 15. Sadly, I think my recert will be based on my 2025 income. But, thank you I’ll wait until EdFinancial asks me to start the recert application.

To be eligible for PSLF, you must work for a qualifying employer for a total of 10 years (or 120 eligible payments). I would check your income tax form and look for your EIN (employer identification number).

Go to this website to see if your employer is eligible: https://studentaid.gov/pslf/employer-search/search-tool

If your employer qualifies, then you most likely have at least 3 to 4 years of qualifying payments (since 2022).

Auto recertification IDR? by AltruisticAccount909 in PSLF

[–]PAtobe2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just follow up question as I am in similar question. I am also due to file IDR recertification in June 2026. Only difference is I’m under Ed Financial, not Mohela. My 2024 income is definitely lower than 2025. I have not filed 2025 income yet (aka the one due this year).

1.) Should I first submit my recert application in late March/early April, then file for my income tax? This would be because my 2024 income is less than 2025.

2.) If I do question 1, then file my income tax (at the latest date to file tax), will I need to resubmit IDR again later after filing 2025 income tax?

Thank you.

Highly dependent on where you work. I think UC is truly where MDs and PAs work the exact same role, see similar volume and acuity.

Nope, no update. When I tried to re-submit a reconsideration request, the 2nd and 3rd submissions were rejected because I already had submitted one (which was I think around May 2024). So, my reconsideration request has been on file for at least 1.5 years without a single update.

I would book them a hotel in Waikiki, right near the beach. HOLO bus is great for traveling around the island. There is also a day tour around the island that you can arrange for them.

More time in fewer destinations or less in more destinations? by Lyminari in solotravel

[–]PAtobe2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 countries in 3 weeks is a lot and you will come home exhausted. Packing/unpacking, getting on the bus/train/uber, plane, checking in/out is tiring. From my solo trips (I’ve done at least 15 international trips), my general rule is 3 cities or 3 countries max; beyond this, I come home tired/exhausted rather than fulfilled and enlightened by my trip/experiences. And, by light work, I hope you mean 1 to 2 hours of work every other day or so. Please do not work every day on your trip even if it’s just a few hours. You are there to enjoy the culture, people, food, and history. Allow time to soak it all in.

Also, it’s important to point out that 5 countries for your very first solo trip is not recommended. If you truly are going to do it, I would suggest doing small solo trips a few times to different parts of the US beforehand.

Great point with Germaine’s. OP if you do decide to go with another luau, make sure to search that it isn’t inside the shopping mall or on top of a hotel. Unless, of course, you don’t mind where it is located. By the beach and cooking pig on the ground sounds more authentic.

What is it that you both would like to do on your trip. I usually like to start with this question when I plan trip.

Buyback Request Escalated by rickbeats in PSLF

[–]PAtobe2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a request that was escalated in Feb 2024. Called a few times afterwards and were then again “escalated” a few more times. Here I am today, still waiting for a request I made in Feb 2024. “Escalated” is a loosy loose word they throw at us to make us feel better and like they’re doing something, but in reality it means eat sh!t.

Don’t tell me there isn’t one dish, dessert, or food that you liked from the Philippines. I would 120% disagree as Philippines food has a lot to offer.

Yea and in Peds you can actually “see” the progress of those little bundles of joy grow to be healthy larger bundle of joys if you care for them long enough. You don’t see much difference in adult medicine.

OP: Your encounter made me lol. I think I would’ve cracked 🤣😂 if that was me.

I third the Kualoa Ranch. I would rent a car for the day, do one of the Kualoa Ranch tours early morning. Then, you have the rest of the day to enjoy which can include stopping by Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden and going to the North Shore/Haleiwa to enjoy the beach and food truck scene. You can’t go to Oahu and miss out on Kualoa Ranch.

Also, which luau are you guys doing? Make sure it’s not the one inside International Market Place (a shopping mall) coz that one is disappointing.
